Monday, November 1, 2010. My sister and her two kids came down from the country for a sleep over last night. In between entertaining and feeding 5 kids under nine we managed to do a photo shoot of ebay items to sell and also of my new scarves to go on madeit. I was very excited to find out today that I can have a stall at the Daylesford Makers Market. On November 6th (yes this Saturday) and the Sisters' market. At StKilda Town Hall on December 11th - it should be a very busy market just before Christmas!

Thursday, July 7, 2011. We have a wonderful school fete at my children's primary school in October each year. I have promised myself that this year I will do more sewing for the fete. In order to do this I have made an earlier start than last year. I finished six aprons last nght. They are plastic coated fabric so easy to wipe down after activities. Sunday, July 25, 2010. I'm on a roll! Mind you my house is very untidy, the washing basket is overflowing and none of the beds were made this morning - oh well, somethings "gotta" give! I make my daughter a new white "peasant" top every Summer. So cool to wear, washes up beautifully and goes with everything. The shorts are a new project. They have front and back pockets and a mock fly front. They have bands at the bottom of the legs and an elasticised back waist. She's mad about them! I have much to lear...

Thursday, September 2, 2010. In just over two weeks I am taking long service leave (makes me sound old! From my 'real' 4-day a week job. I do not return until next year. I am really looking forward to some time at home with Mstr.3 and also being able to help out at school with Mstr.8 and Miss.6. It will just be so nice to take off one of my many "hats" and concentrate on being Mum! Of course, there is also the allure of a little bit more time with my friend the Pfaff! Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Well I was lucky enough to have last week off, mostly by myself! I have been dabbling in the sewing room and have just finished this new addition to my wardrobe. The pattern is Vogue 8249. And is out of print (although you can still buy it online). The front opening is very low so I would need to wear a singlet underneath it. I will probably wear it with skinny jeans (that's what they're called, not necessarily how they look! And black boots or ballet flats. The Cupcake Wrapper Co.
