Nothing on the ground now but it is plenty cold and the only reason there is no snow now is because there is no precipitation. Saturday, August 7, 2010. August 7th, 2010. My parents with Red Square and St. Basils Cathedral behind them. By now most of you, if not all of you have heard of the wild fires that have taken the lives of scores of people and made life miserable for millions of people in around Moscow and across vast lands here in Russia. The Cathedral about 300-400 yards away. This was difficult for us to let this baptismal commitment go but we also felt that he was not ready and may not be ready for quite some time.

Obviously I was pregnant or nursing or something and my mind was consumed with extra calories (which I'm totally payin' for now! Just started working out. again. Trying to lose the pudge that won't budge from my middle. Besides, my hubby is gone out of town all week (more on this later) and has finally gotten into a routine of working out. Bonus. he gets free tanning at his gym! Anyway, total tangent.

I was quite surprised when Eric walked in from Bayley's basketball practice with one of these for each of our girls (including myself). It was quite sweet and the girls loved the attention from the first "MAN IN THEIR LIFE". I put mine in my bathroom to enjoy while I do my morning routine. After having two weeks off of chemo ( which she said she felt better than she's felt in a long time), she had another treatment yesterday. Bless her heart, her treatment lasted 6 hours. Her strength never ceases to amaze me! She met with her doctor and got a great report. The last scans she had done showed that all the cancer cells were dead! Well, I'm off to the airport!

We didn't catch anything, unlike our first time when Reese pulled in a 4" monster, but she did turf it on the cement and got a life threatening scratch. D came to the rescue with an OSHA approved band-aid and Reese knew she was saved. So, tonight we went to catch a fish, and came home with a little girl that has a little less fear.
