Welcome to our Little Piece of the Earth! My Virtual Garden Cat. Especially for my sisters and daughter. Friday, November 25, 2011. Look what bloomed on Thanksgiving! It's the common Shamrock plant (oxalis). I am thankful for flowers on any plant, indoors or outdoors, during the month of November in Central Ohio. I did some research on bloom times and learned a lot in the process. Here is a link to some great information from the Iowa State University Extension. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscr...

We feel lucky to have had two sets of baby robins born on this Delaware Green Acre. This last group of three (that's our best guess) was found in a nest in our front yard right in the middle of a Globe Blue Spruce on a Standard. Hubby making and sharing a discovery. Mom caught a worm and is getting ready to share it with her babies. A view of the la...

What Tree are You? | OSU TREES MATTER
https://osutreesmatter.wordpress.com/2012/01/24/what-tree-are-you
A Blog by The OSU Why Trees Matter Campus USA Committee. January 24, 2012. What Tree are You? I have often wondered why my affection seems greater for one tree versus another. What is it about a particular Genus that makes me plant every species and cultivar in my yard? What is it about others that I choose to admire but not desire? You can see a list of the Ogham with corresponding trees and characteristics here. I am certainly more than one tree. View all posts by Christine ». Laquo; Previous post.

Welcome to our Little Piece of the Earth! My Virtual Garden Cat. Especially for my sisters and daughter. Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day in February. There is only one plant in bloom in my inside garden. It is a pink Anthurium. I feel in love with the pink flower during my visit to Franklin Park Conservatory last month during Conservatory World Tour. This plant was a Valentine's Day gift, just in time for Bloom Day. Amazing what you can learn by digging deeper. My husband and I are...
