Barbara Chadwick: workshop...
http://chadwickdesign.blogspot.com/2010/05/workshop.html
Friday, May 21, 2010. Last week I gave a little workshop in my hometown of Lafayette, Indiana. I had not been back in more than 20 years! I was invited by my high school ceramics teacher, Jane Boswell (who was the most wonderful, caring teacher EVER)! She and her husband Jeff, who is also a really great potter, made the whole trip possible- THANK YOU both so much! It was a whirlwind visit but I enjoyed every minute of it. June 13, 2010 at 1:34 PM. http://chadwickdesign.blogspot.com/2011/01/its-show-time.html
Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Along with my bowl orders I am preparing for an upcoming show. Thank goodness I am finally feeling more inspired! For this show I am working on some wall pieces and larger house forms. My ideas for this work have to do with renewal, growth, beginnings, etc. Obviously all relating to my new life and finding "me" again. 65279;. Love the lil zippy type doorways :) happy making for your show . January 18, 2011 at 9:07 PM. January 19, 2011 at 4:40 AM. January 19, 2011 at 8:39 AM.
Barbara Chadwick: What's up...
http://chadwickdesign.blogspot.com/2011/01/whats-up.html
Monday, January 10, 2011. I have been struggling to get back into the "making mode" since the holidays. Just not really in the mood. I don't know why, just feeling very LAZY! Maybe it was that big push to get everything done before Christmas, whatever the reason I need to get over it and get productive. I understand. Its hard to get my studio warm and I do have orders to fill.I have gotten some things done but not much. January 11, 2011 at 1:55 PM. Wishing you the best. Hope you feel energized again.

My Life in Clay: February 2013
http://perimichelle.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
My Life in Clay. Sunday, February 24, 2013. I've gotten a new laptop, and so of course it's a time to go through all sorts of files and transfer from the old to the new. Also, making sure that the new laptop has all the internet bookmarks I need, and the application programs. Part of it is making sure that the blogger functions are all workable, and the uploading pathways are okay. this is a bit overwhelming, but I'm trying to do it step by step. Sunday, February 24, 2013. Links to this post. I rather li...

http://perimichelle.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
My Life in Clay. Friday, December 12, 2014. This is one of my favorite places anywhere, The Clay Spot! I went for a few hours on Monday to construct some bowls, and then again Wednesday to decorate,. There are six bowls and two plates. i used a variiety of screen prints, some mishima and a bit of slip trailing. It has been so long since I did any clay that The decorating didnt really all come together the way it sometimes does. however, it was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the process a lot. My other blog,.
My Life in Clay: June 2015

My Life in Clay. Saturday, June 6, 2015. I made a batch of plates from rolled out slabs of clay and they just came out of their glaze firing,. There were three main sizes, and one odd larger one. I always work in multiples. i'm not sure why but Very rarely do I ever make just one of something. The smallest dishes are only about 3" x 4". They all have mishima decoration, but the undersides are colored:. Oh yes, there is one that is a bit different. The next size up are these little "pushed slab" plates,.

My Life in Clay. Saturday, April 5, 2014. The other thing I like to make is little slab plates,. We have a stack of them in use, and I like them for snacks,. This week I intended to make a small matching set. But I seem to have forgotten my goal partway through the decorating phase. Here the undersides do match. Also made a couple of vases,. This one I think the decoration is a bit off, it's too small scale or something. Saturday, April 05, 2014. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 160;On Wed...

My Life in Clay. Saturday, January 11, 2014. At the Art Institute. This is a pot I saw at the Art Institute in Chicago,. It is quite large, about 20 inches high, by a contemporary Korean potter, I think. Sorry I didn't take a photo of the information card. Also, this is an an American Indian pot with a woven pattern decoration,. It too was quite large. Both pots are very graceful, and have nice "lift" from their bases,. Saturday, January 11, 2014. My Life in Clay: more and more
http://perimichelle.blogspot.com/2015/05/more-and-more.html
My Life in Clay. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. More handbuilding and more decoration. I got back to the Clay Spot a few days ago and had some fun with Helios,. Yesterday I spent four hours decorating the pieces I made, and then another hour today,. Decorating is time intensive! Along with the silkscreening that I usually add, I did a bit of mishima on most all of the pieces,. The stechnique is not complicated. First, you incise a line into leatherhard clay. I got a few things glazed that I made last time I was ...
