Diventare Italiana: September 2008

La Storia di una Straniera a Ferrara. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. I just found out about the terrible situation the economy just fell into, and think that that puts my problems into some perspective. As in, I really shouldn't be complaining about a difficult italian class, at all, whether or not I'm homesick. Also, talking to my mommy helps (me, not the economy). As for the banking crash. OH MY GOD. How can people be so stupid and stubborn? The Good, the Bad, and the Need for "Boh". On the other hand, I...

The bubbles make my inner child smile every time. Thursday, October 30, 2008. Third Post in Less than 24 Hours. Maybe I need a life away from the computer. Also, does anyone know how to do an equivalent of LJcuts for blogspot? Because that would be useful in moments like this. Here's the book I finished reading yesterday, which I...

Merry X-Mas (or holiday of your choice). Dec 26th, 2010 at 12:42 PM. You know, minus the screaming children and family arguments and the like. I have to say, though, listening to my niece scream (literally) in joy when she opened the Dean wall-scroll I got her was totally worth it. Also watching her leave in her Cas t-shirt, Dean pendant, and 'Beef spoken here' hat (she's a vegetarian) was pretty fun. My influence is not apparent at all. La Storia di una Straniera a Ferrara. Monday, December 15, 2008. Photos and First Few Days in Scotland in Brief. And now, my first few days in Scotland in brief (by my normal standards, at least), as a break from studying. Got some decent german food and some traditional mulled wine, talked for a long time, and spent a while looking at the pretty jewelry. Yay. But the busy day wasn't over yet! Eleanor, her friend Natasha (who I'd met for a while sometime earlier in the trip) and I went ice skating in the...

La Storia di una Straniera a Ferrara. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. And so it begins. You know how I mentioned in my last post that I had no idea where I was going to be living? Oh, and I'm intending on trying to overcome my fear of biking somewhat before leaving, as a Ferrarese told me most inhabitants have at least two biciclette, and it's the most reliable form of local transportation. Figures, eh? Monday, August 18, 2008. Dear Friends and Family,. Well, that is all for now. Pace e salute a tutti! There...

http://elisabetta-in-italia.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
La Storia di una Straniera a Ferrara. Saturday, November 29, 2008. My photos in a news article? So, I was just asked by an internet news website (admittedly, one I've never heard of before) for permission to use some of my photos of the Ferrara Christmas Market. It's not the New York Times or anything big, and I wouldn't say they are the best photos I've taken here, but I have to say it makes me feel cool that someone asked to use my photos in their article. La Storia di una Straniera a Ferrara. Friday, January 30, 2009. I've had occasional access to my landlady's computer (like right now) and had most everything saved on my external drive, but have had much less time and opportunity to use the computer as a result of everything listed in this paragraph, and therefore have been more out of touch with everyone than I would like. See (most of) you sometime soon! Safe travels, my dear, if your not already home! February 1, 2009 at 2:31 PM. AO Art Observed™.
