November 5, 2009. By Shifting the bedrooms to the first floor, we free the second floor of restrictive program, allowing for an open space made notable by the windows that frame the landscape beyond. A straight stair connects the levels. On the east side of the stair is a narrow kitchen. Downstairs in the Master Bedroom. The bedroom opens out to the ground floor patio. Behind the Master Bedroom a large dressing area that connects the two bedrooms. Second bedroom is a bit monastic, but works.

February 29, 2008. This of course occurs when Kozi arrives and so we had to amuse ourselves indoors with a little tango. The next day we traveled to Gualeguaychu to see Argentina's version of carnival. You know- tall busty amazonian women half naked save for some pasties and lots of feathers shaking to the beat my heart. It was a noble journey. March 26, 2009. Amazingly it feels like being in the country, birds sing, the grass is tall, the temperature is several degrees cooler than in nearby downtown. its a pretty cool place. R-2 (which means we could build more if we want, although because its on an alley this may be not allowed). 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Even while the birds chirp in our little valley, when you drive out of the canyon you drive straight into chinatown with downtown about a mile away. Poor Man's Shangri-La by Ry Cooder.

March 29, 2008. Laid back Uruguay. Seemed as if sand was everywhere. We had gotten there via a ferry from BA to Montevideo. We were curious to go to a church designed by architect/ engineer Eladio Dieste. The church was in a small town called Atlantida. The bus driver's eyebrows raised when we stepped off the bus.
