chalkdust and heartstrings: January 2011

http://www.chalkdustandheartstrings.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 17, 2011. My darlings have someone to tuck them in and say prayers with them. They are greeted each day after school with a smile and a snack and help with their homework when they need it. I ask you to join me in praying for the children around the world who go to bed hungry, the children who mourn their parents, the children who are unclaimed. Everyone deserves to be loved. Sunday, January 9, 2011. But it made my mind wander to Uganda. I saw news coverage over Christmas that there h...

Jennifer's Journal: July 2010

http://journalsofjennifer.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Yesterday, I had the carpets cleaned in my apartment. It was well overdue since it had not been done since I moved in, a complete 6 years ago. I have been so proud of the result! To paint or not to paint? That is the question. It definitely gives me a different perspective on the room! It's the next best thing to moving.mixing it up a bit. Come on over and see it for yourself! I love to have the company. PS I love this new format here in blogger! Links to this post. Bless the Lo...

Saturday, August 14, 2010. I took part in Transform for the first time today. It was a success! The Village Church has partnered with several schools over the past several years to serve during the summer with school improvement projects and relationship building. This year the Flower Mound campus was at Hedrick Elementary. I felt confident and purposeful in this role. My knowledge of children's literature and my experiences in leveling libraries were quickly put to use. Her English library was complete!

Jennifer's Journal: March 2011

http://journalsofjennifer.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 1, 2011. This week, I really feel the desire to focus not on what God can do for me and how I can benefit from Him, but more so on who he is in all of his glory. I think this verse may sum up the gospel and praise Him in that way. On a side note, my life has been such a juxtaposition of joy and heartache in recent weeks. I am anxious to find the words and place to rest in writing these thoughts and emotions in this space. Hopefully, I will be back here for real blogging again, soon.

Jennifer's Journal: Bible Verse #2

http://journalsofjennifer.blogspot.com/2011/01/bible-verse-2.html

Sunday, January 16, 2011. This past verse has proven to be true in my life. My work. My heart. My relationships. I have been overwhelmed in recent weeks by the support of my community. There is a flutter inside me. I will give thanks to the Lord. With my whole heart;. I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you;. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. January 16, 2011 at 10:09 PM. Im curious about the giddyness in which you refer on one of your recent twitters.

Jennifer's Journal: November 2010

http://journalsofjennifer.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 30, 2010. My heart is full of happiness. It has been such a fun week! This is very appreciated after what had been a drought from joy. My giddy, fun loving self has returned.and I like her. There have been several reasons to prompt this swing toward the brighter side, not the least being a full week of rest. However, one stands out above the rest. The best part was he came back on Monday night, too! Seth and I have now been friends for 10 years! Links to this post. This place is used to...

This week I have been so giddy about summer that I can hardly contain myself! I am looking forward to a concerts, weekend visitors, spa day, summer nights with live music, Rangers' games, Kansas, Tyler, and.the delight of my heart- Big Bend National Park. The countdown has begun! Links to this post.

Jennifer's Journal: June 2011

http://journalsofjennifer.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 8, 2011. This is so often my initial response. disgusting. it is being revealed to me increasingly more often. i have a feeling the next year will bring even further opportunities for me to find evidence of my depravity. It isn't and shouldn't be about me. i repeat to myself. While i should rejoice in the pleasures of others, my heart sunk to the floor in disappointment. May the "perfectly proper princess" be as much true on the inside as she desires to be on the outside.

Monday, September 21, 2015. How I wore it: splash of green. Which kind of worked? I was excited to wear real pants today - I've been biking in leggings dresses a lot, so it was nice to wear jeans. I tend to wear sportier shoes when I bike, but it was kind of nice to have the low heel of the Fluevogs to hook onto my pedals. I gotta say: for an outfit that barely came together in the end, I'm pretty pleased with the results. Maybe sometimes we just gotta go for the monochromatic splash of color! Buffalo pl...

Please do not re-use content/photographs without permission. ATP World Tour Finals 2012 Day 3: Berdych v Tsonga. From the start of the match, this was more a contest of who could smack the fluff from the balls first. Berdych was swinging hard and flat, and there was not much variation from Jo. Tsonga managed to dig out an ace in a sticky game at 3-3 and just hadn’t quite found his range, and an unlucky netcord for him gave Berdych a bit more time to put Jo under pressure again. And sure enough at the sta...
