http://pinkandsmileyhydroactive.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Hydro active challenge to see off CF. Saturday, September 09, 2006. They were quite astonished that I managed 500metres, and I don’t think they can make up their mind whether to be impressed or whether to tell me off so I don’t do it again! Apparently they expected me to walk 100metres, which being a somewhat naughty sort makes me even more proud of my achievement. I will continue to give updates as to my general life and health on my other blog, found at http:/ www.pinkandsmiley.blogspot.com/. Adjective...

Hydro active challenge to see off CF. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Best walk so far! I know with the excitement of the day and the difference of being outdoors not in a controlled environment it will be harder, but I think that I can walk a distance that I will be proud of, and even if I dont do as well on the day as I wanted to I can be proud in the knowledge that I have trained and worked to the best of my ability. Hydro active challenge to see off CF. Tuesday, September 18, 2007. The big day itself! I woke up bright and early raring to go. Long-suffering A was forced out of bed on his only day off to make me beans on toast (figured I probably needed something a bit more substantial than a cereal bar) and I in the meantime spent an inordinately long time donning my pinkandsparkly fairy costume. In the final k we approached a slight incline, various angels getting behind me to give me a bit of a helping hand! The fe...

Hydro active challenge to see off CF: A brand new experience!
http://pinkandsmileyhydroactive.blogspot.com/2007/08/brand-new-experience.html
Hydro active challenge to see off CF. Friday, August 17, 2007. A brand new experience! FVC: 2.67 FEV1: 2.16. Treadmill: 20 mins av 5.2 km/h. This morning was really good. My mum and sisters picked me up bright and early as they were heading to aqua aerobics. I saw some of the class, it looks like fun, but I'm just not confident enough yet to go at someone elses pace; what if I need to stop then look like a fruitcake on my own? Crikey blimey, lady - with all the rubbish little tubes, ties, lines, bags and...

Hydro active challenge to see off CF. Wednesday, May 30, 2007. This stands for Forced Vital Capacity. It measures the amount of air you can blow out in total from your lungs.
