Monday, November 7, 2011. Sometimes I wish I had a time slicer. It would pull apart the pieces of life, shake them up and smoosh them back together differently. It would sprinkle the lonely hours in with the days that I wish I could be alone. It would take the times I've fought back tears and put them instead with the sad moment I can't seem to express. It would place my wish to be out of school and in a job with my wish to be back in school instead of working. But how do you hold on to that perspective?

Monday, June 20, 2011. I want a dog. This statement comes out of my mouth nearly every day. Thankfully for dutiful friends, like work-friend-Bryan, I understand there are several hurdles. Bryan's main arguments: "If you ever want to go on vacation again, don't get a dog" and "if you want a dog, you might as well have a kid." Hm.okay. Other arguments (both in my head and from loved ones) include the fact that I live in an apartment, dogs are truly expensive, and that I'm some percentage of a workaholic.
