This is why he's the best:. Sugaring season is nigh. Snow (watch out where the doggies go; don't you eat that yellow snow). Boil syrup to about 255 degrees Fahrenheit. Put your non-yellow snow in a big bowl. Drizzle hot syrup over snow. Eat the sticky top layer and chase with a pickle (yes, I said pickle) or donut.

The mountains here are incredibly majestic and, as the name suggests, "smokey" (as in clouds and fog). The drive over on I-26 was dizzying in a very cool way. After an 8 hour surgery, she's out of ICU and up and walking around. She'll have the dog visit her today! If all goes well, they'll be off to North Carolina in a month or so. Thursday, July 3, 2008.
