Manor Books: Sequoyah Set Two
http://chancellormanorbooks.blogspot.com/2010/11/sequoyah-set-two.html
Reading. Writing. Reviewing. Enjoying Every Minute. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Kenny and the Dragon. Fun book based on. Kenny loves to read, and is always off in his own little world, without really having any good friends. Then one day a friendly dragon shows up practically in his back yard. And wouldn't you know? This book was so fun to read! Kenny and the dragon both pull your sympathies right in, and you find yourself rooting for a happy ending for all. Loved that it was based on.

Manor Books: May 2009
http://chancellormanorbooks.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Reading. Writing. Reviewing. Enjoying Every Minute. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Olivia is the most awesome pig ever. She is talented, spunky, and very funny. And she is very good at wearing people out – even herself. These books are a great mixture of incredibly realistic childhood behaviors and extremely grandiose exaggerations. The artwork is wonderful (if you don’t like it at first because it’s different from the cuddly pictures you’re used to, don’t worry, it will grow on you! It would be best to sign yo...

Manor Books: Frog and Toad
http://chancellormanorbooks.blogspot.com/2012/03/frog-and-toad.html
Reading. Writing. Reviewing. Enjoying Every Minute. Saturday, March 24, 2012. Frog and Toad are best friends. They go on adventures, see if they are very brave, have dreams, cheer each other up, and learn about will power. They learn it’s ok to be scared – and get “The Shivers,” and how to keep a good friend. Each chapter is a stand-alone story. Older children could really get into comparing Frog and Toad – maybe compare personality traits, strengths and weaknesses, etc. A Lost Button – Finding Toa...

Manor Books: January 2009
http://chancellormanorbooks.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Reading. Writing. Reviewing. Enjoying Every Minute. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Something to Tell the Grandcows. This book is hilarious. It tells the story of Emmadine the cow, who has nothing exciting to tell her grandcows. The best she can come up with is the time she swatted 13 flies at once – and who wants to hear about that? The bottom line is I would definitely recommend this book. Literature: Fact Vs. Fiction. History: Shackleton’s Expedition, Explorers. No specific ideas, but it would be a great...

I especially like finding something unique to use as the "basket". A mixing bowl for the cookie basket:. Daddy's Diaper Duty tool apron (for Tony when Cadence was born):. A colandar full of utensils for Teresa and John:. Kayla's Christmas present last year:. I made for her). Hmmm what should I do next? Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Wednesday, July 14, 2010.

Sewing. Scrapbooking. Creating. Enjoying Every Minute. Wednesday, September 29, 2010. I've been looking for an accordian wallet for our cash budget, and haven't been able to find one I liked. I finally found this tutorial. For sale online, and decided to give it a try. Since there are only five slots, I had to make dividers for my cash, but the dividers are cute too. Yay for digital scrapbooking! From the Moda Bake Shop, but this is working awesome until I get around to it. Wednesday, September 15, 2010.

Manor Crafts: August 2010
http://sallyscrafts.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sewing. Scrapbooking. Creating. Enjoying Every Minute. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. I recently "repurposed" a small box to hold socks with no mates. I just covered it in cute scrapbook paper, and now it cheers me up every time I pull a sock out of the dryer and can't find it's mate. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. I didn't mess with trying to close up the opening where I threaded the elastic through, and you can't even tell. Not the fanciest project ever, but easy and very useful! Wednesday, August 11, 2010.

Reading. Writing. Reviewing. Enjoying Every Minute. Thursday, May 13, 2010. Escape Under the Forever Sky. This book is exciting and fun. It was inspired by the true story of a young Ethiopian girl who was sheltered by lions overnight while running away from kidnappers. Note: This is not a true story, the similarities end there, the incident is simply what inspired the author to write this book. Habitats and Animal Behaviors. Geography / Humanities / Social Studies / Government / History:.

Reading. Writing. Reviewing. Enjoying Every Minute. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Percy Jackson and the Olympians. These books have it all – mythological creatures, action, adventure, random little tidbits of facts, humor. They are especially great for those reluctant boy readers because they get you hooked so fast – within the first chapter. They bring ancient mythology to life in a very vivid and unforgettable way. Mythology: Gods and Monsters Made Modern. Geography: Famous Places, Twice Over. I highly...
