Chance to Grow is run by a team of committed trustees on a voluntary basis. After volunteering in Africa for nine months Ben co-founded Chance to Grow to empower disadvantaged young people in Kitale, Kenya. His experiences led him to a career in the charity sector, working in project delivery, fundraising and event management with Mencap, NSPCC, ChildLine, and THET. The Chance to Grow team first visited Kitale, Kenya in 2008, where they were shocked by the challenges children in the area were facing. We work in collaboration with locally run organisations, the children and young people that we support and international charities in order to maximise our reach and tackle locally identified needs. Chance to Grow is run by seven committed volunteers, which means that almost every penny donated goes directly to the children that we support.
