September 17, 2014. First Day of Kindergarten. This day couldn't have come soon enough. Westin was so ready and so excited to start kindergarten. I think he asked me nearly everyday during August when school was going to start. When the day finally arrived, this boy was ready and so thrilled. He had no problem going up to a new friend he had just met at soccer the week before. He had no problem going to the class line and finding a seat. After school, I got the full rundown, but in short, "it was awesome!

September 14, 2014. Our nephew Grant turned 12 and received the priesthood a few weeks ago. In honor of him, Ryan's parents and brother, Adam, came up to be a part of the big day. On Saturday, we all ventured to Pt. Reyes for the day. We started at the visitors center where we enjoyed a little exhibit about the animals and area nearby. January 27, 2014. For Christmas this year, we started at my dad's house. Chris and Kenzie arrived about the same time we did, but Trevor wasn't able to come in until Monday. Lazy mornings are the best. Snuggling with aunt Kenzie is also the best! Family night at the Clippers game. Walks through Studio City to check out the holiday decor. This was a personal favorite. Trevor arrived Monday, which meant the cookie decorating contest was on for Christmas Eve, which Trev's finance, Karla, was able to join us.

February 26, 2014. Anyway, here's life from January. Avery started falling asleep without a swaddle and discovered she likes sleeping on her side. Westin's unique sense of style never ceases to amaze me. This was out at lunch, when he decided his outfit would look better without a shirt under the vest. I think he was just trying to show off his muscles. Just another day at the park, saving the world as Power Rangers. And this one just smiles all day long. Seriously, she does. Some serious face painting.

September 18, 2014. Final Few Days Before School. Soaked up a little more sun at the splash pad. Tried on and modeled all the back to school clothes (that basically can't be worn for another few months because it's still so got here). Getting one year check up (75% for height and weight). Growing up too fast. Relaxing at church. Ever so ladylike. And continually developing a person style. End of Summer Recap. We finished up summer with a birthday celebration at the pool for Delaney. September 30, 2013. First Day of Preschool (Year 2). Westin finally started preschool two weeks ago. I say "finally" because I swear his school was the last to start. December 8, 2013. Today was Westin's 5th birthday. FIVE YEARS OLD! I can hardly believe it. Where is time going? It's been a fun few days celebrating this superhero's birthday. We first had a visit from grandma Diana, which meant opening one of his presents early. because how could grandma say no when the result would be this kind of excitement and enthusiasm?
