22 - 28 Oct: More "normal" week. Took Suzuki for service to Hemel, cycled back in grey damp, 7miles, not very pleasant. Attempted to change options on my BT phone and broadband. Website in consistent and customer service on phone appeared helpful but actually could do nothing, then promised to ring me back tomorrow. Slightly suburban, but cute and comforting for the winter. BT never called back, should I be surprised? Choir in evening, went well and my sight reading wasn't bad for a non-musician. G&P rou...

mafimuskala: Dunwich Dynamo 2015
http://mafimuskala.blogspot.com/2015/07/dunwich-dynamo-2015.html
We decided to head off straight away which meant a mind numbing slow bike ride with '00s navigating buses and car queues. It opened up on the straight road through Epping Forest and went smoothly after that. Darkness fell around 10pm (there was almost a full moon). Weather good but because sweated felt cold at the stops. Crashed on beach, queued for tickets for coach, to put bikes on transport, for a bacon roll and beer, to get onto coach. Well, actually Lulu did most of the queuing for me. The Empty Qua...

22 - 31 Dec: How much can one eat? Up to London with Marshalls to see Top Hat - great lively show. Pre theatre drinks in Waldorf, then dinner at Delaunays - round corner table, great atmosphere, food and service, and not over the top expensive. Jon joined us on Facetime! We drove up as G&N were with us, and I packed the Brompton in the boot. Parked car at Barnards House in the City for £2.50 after 1:30 on a Saturday, and cycled back and forth, worked out very well, managed to miss the rain! Lulu's friend...

mafimuskala: In Flanders Fields
http://mafimuskala.blogspot.com/2014/08/in-flanders-fields-by-john-mccrae-may.html
By John McCrae, May 1915. In Flanders fields the poppies blow. Between the crosses, row on row,. That mark our place; and in the sky. The larks, still bravely singing, fly. Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago. We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,. Loved and were loved, and now we lie. Take up our quarrel with the foe:. To you from failing hands we throw. The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die. We shall not sleep, though poppies grow.

29 Jan - 4 Feb: Looking forward to a long w/e with Stoker. Stoker arrived at 5:45am. Back to Villa and for her to catch up on sleep, but she needs to get up for 3pm for her pedicure and haircut. Very windy and dusty out our way. Trader Vics books for the evening, sat outside even though it was windy. Spin/'pump' with See. It felt tough at the time, but very quickly recovered so I couldn't have really pushed myself. Yes I know, too much weight to lift). 22 - 28 Jan: Back in the groove, sort of. Spin/abs w...
