March 18, 2013. I really enjoyed May Swenson’s “Women”. It was a concrete poem so it was interesting to look at and there is so much that you can take from just how the poem looks. It is such a witty poem and she really has such a smart way of communicating. I really enjoyed it! Blog #2 : Poetry. Blog #4 →. 3 thoughts on “ Blog #3. March 18, 2013 at 9:08 pm. April 3, 2013. Studying humanities has always been something I looked at as a stepping stone. I am not anywhere close to deciding what I want to do, but I am studying something I enjoy. Later on I can add on to my degree and go from there. 7 thoughts on “ Blog #5. April 3, 2013 at 4:37 pm. I liked this post Katie! I definitely agree with you! I personally think the movie’s interpretation of the novel was mediocre but I do agree with you on the decision to merge Uncle Al and August together, they were quite similar in character and while I liked them separate in the novel since the film is a more simplistic version of the novel it was a wise choice indeed. The All Encompassing World Of Sports Films. No particular genre draws me in any more than another genre; I will watch basically anything from thrillers to whimsical comedies. However, I will watch almost any movie that has a storyline that deals with athletics. I usually like the movies that not only have to do with sports, but have a good storyline to go with it. For example, the concept of the underdog in the movies. Or breaking boundaries in movies like Glory Road. Or even a documentary such as. For m...

I think its a lot easier said than done to just stop being depressed and just go get a girl. Krebs problems are deeper than whether or not he has a girlfriend. The fact that Krebs mother compares him to “normal people including soldiers” proves that she is blind. Krebs is not normal, he went through war for two years longer than the other soldiers. Poetry: Confusing, Frustrating and Beautifully Magnificent. In my whole education career I have always dreaded the poetry unit. Poetry is complex and confusing. It has so many rules and yet sometimes has no rules at all. There are so many tools that poets utilize: allusions, metaphors, irony, cacaphony and so many others. How is one person able to separate everything and comprehend what the poem is about and/or what the author intended in writing it. I tried to keep this blog shorter for everyone 🙂.
