My interest in Photography began when I was choosing which A-Levels I wanted to study during my two years in Wadebridge Sixth Form, over those two years I learnt a large number of different skills and tricks to better my photographs. I also learnt the art of Photoshop to give images the final tweek before they are uploaded, however, I try to keep editing my photos to a minimum. Due to working commitments I've not had alot of time to get out and about with my camera, I am hoping to get started again soon!

Artists at Work - Port Isaac Pottery

Our Artists at Work. We use a white Australian stoneware clay. The whole process takes 4-6 weeks from a lump of clay to a finished pot. The pot begins by being thrown on the wheel and then left to dry slowly for a day or two before being “turned” or trimmed into shape. The second “gloss” firing follows in the gas-fired kiln and reaches temperatures of nearly 1300oC. Please Click on images to display a larger version. The same three firings are used to produce the porcelain jewellery which are detailed with gold. Each piece is a “one-off” and can be worn as every day wear or to add that special finish!
