Saturday, January 31, 2015. It's all in my mind, or.English can be funny. I read a headline the other day, "mother afraid of her 16 year old daughter so she sleeps with a bat". Now, I've been teaching biology for close to 50 years, and it instantly came to me, "How can you sleep with a bat? I saw the headline again this morning and it finally dawned on me, she meant a baseball bat. My only comment is that the authors should have been more precise in their language the first time. A Hair raising discovery.
