The past week has been a little bit nuts trying to say goodbyes and begin the packing process (how did I end up with so much more stuff than I came here with? 1) Seeing friends and family. 2) No more cockroaches or giant bugs in general. 3) Bread will last more than three days without molding. 4) Toilet paper, soap and some kind of method of drying hands in public restrooms. 5) Garbage cans in public areas (like parks, malls, etc.). 8) Lying in the yard.

Monday, April 8, 2013. Thursday, April 4th was Children's Day so we had a holiday! But then she said the student who has leg braces and who has to use a walker was doing it, so I would be okay. I felt like I needed to do it after that. I found some inner strength to keep running (at least while I was within their line of vision! So I was feeling pretty good. Here's the hallway as I'm standing outside the teacher's office looking towards the English classroom and 1st and 2nd grade classrooms (and the scooter parking lot way at the end). Now that summer is here again I’m looking back on goals I set last summer and am disappointed in myself for not coming as far as I would have liked. But I’m not going to kill myself over it. I am down twenty pounds, my blood pressure and heart rate are normal again, I have energy to actually make it through the day, and I’m finally healthy again.
