November 6, 2009. When I lived in Bend I started a band called Master Booty-we were a birthday rap band and I was the MC. I would make up raps about my friends and perform them at their birthday parties. We did a couple of shows at bars and at our first gig was a pajama birthday party at my friend’s house. We all made up our stage names and I coined myself Kickstand. So in explanation, Love, Kickstand is a little present from Eva to her discerning customer. It really couldn’t be more beautiful.

November 3, 2009. Other things I learned:. Don’t plant the whole bag of lettuce super close together all at once. (I planted so much lettuce because I was really worried that nothing would happen and then lots of things did and I had all this romaine that was squished and pinched and pale and trying to be the tallest tree in the forest). July 26, 2011. However, it is good to dream. And Missoni's Fall 2011 ready-to-wear is pretty dreamy. It's like Lisa Franke in water color. Cotton candy pastels, grunge cuts sweetened by embroidery, snakeskin bombers, sunset sweaters, flowing skirts, and those boots. The snakeskin galoshes are my favorite part. Last winter was strangely dry and I was always biking to work in the sun and thinking that Portland winters really aren’t so bad and now I know that was a freak accident.
