http://katzendame.blogspot.com/2012/03/avalanche-cats.html
Sunday, 11 March 2012. Avalanche Cats. you heard me. I'd like to take time to discuss something very near and dear to my heart. And avalanches. (wtf? They are unpredictable, devastating, and claim over 150 lives a year worldwide. (avalanches, not cats! Just another day on the job. But if any of you are planning a ski trip to the back country of Fernie, British Columbia, you need not fear these snow waves of destruction, for CARCA is ever vigilant and adorable. What is CARCA, you ask? On the CARCA site.

Katzendame: Adoption Profile: Lionheart **ADOPTED!!**
http://katzendame.blogspot.com/2012/02/adoption-profile-lionheart.html
Sunday, 26 February 2012. Adoption Profile: Lionheart * ADOPTED! When I entered the Niagara Falls Humane Society's Adoption Centre in Niagara Square, it was difficult to not get lost in the mews and purrs of a dozen or so lovely and unique felines. But I was on a mission. I approached one of the volunteers and told them I was looking for a very specific cat. "Please show me the cat that has been here the longest," I asked, "the one who deserves a home so much but just hasn't caught a break.". Lionheart w...

The Mason Jar: March 2012
http://the-masonjar.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Me and the JAR. Monday, March 12, 2012. I naturally always look for people's unique uses for Mason jars. This one I got from a friend and I cannot wait to share it. Infusing Alcohol. Let's get one thing straight - we are not making alcohol here (yet) - we are just going to try and naturally flavour it, to make types of alcohol taste bearable - I mean better. Here are some of the basic steps:. Use clean air-tight quart size Mason Jar. I just completed my first attempt- Strawberry Infused Vodka. Still ...

Katzendame: The Bunna Came Back
http://katzendame.blogspot.com/2012/02/bunna-came-back.html
Sunday, 12 February 2012. The Bunna Came Back. The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart. 8221; – Elisabeth Foley. She is our 16-year-old Siamese, and as far as anyone is concerned, a mean old biddy. Her deep-blue eyes are frosted with cataracts and her graceful and agile dance has deteriorated to a clumsy, cautious shuffle. She bumps into walls, howls at the ceiling fan, and generally bumbles about with the dexterity of a newborn. I am a singin...

The Mason Jar: me & the JAR
http://the-masonjar.blogspot.com/p/me-jar.html
Me and the JAR. Me and the JAR. Caught between the grape vines of Niagara and the city lights of Toronto you can catch me on the weekends searching for treasures. I am a collector, organizer, creator and a darn good taste tester. The tradition of preserving is passed down in many households. Well – not mine! The only thing that was passed down to me has been my fascination with the jars themselves. There is only one rule: every post must have a connection to the jars. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Katzendame: The Cat Man of Parliment Hill
http://katzendame.blogspot.com/2012/03/cat-man-of-parliment-hill.html
Sunday, 18 March 2012. The Cat Man of Parliment Hill. A certain wabbit informed me of this lovely man he met in Ottawa a few years ago. After a quick Google search, I realised that others have taken notice of the Cat Man. Have a gander at this article written about him in 2008 in the Ottawa. They’re finding out the so-called Cat Man is possibly more entertaining than his feline charges. The descendants of the cat colony worked inside the Parliament Buildings doing natural pest control until chemicals too...
