Rocky Mountain Highs

Thank goodness we're still a country so we can have an excuse to blow things up in celebration! I headed up Bridger canyon for some holiday fun with the Tack family. I miss my brother.but I'm getting used to it. I now vacuum on my own, though I doubt I do it with the same rigor and frequency as he was wont to do. He's very far away at the moment and so I've stolen a couple of his pictures for the best blog I've ever blwritten. But he's grown up so much. I would like to think that my influence, even from such a tender age, has not gone without effect! In the meantime, he remains the consumate entertainer - one could say that FUN is his Chinese neighbor's middle name.

Best Brother in the World. Samuel and I used to fight. A lot. There's a couple of horrible stories on my other blog but I don't think I'll get into it here. I got the chance to volunteer in Charlie's preschool room recently and remembered to take my camera to get some shots of him enjoying life as a preschooler. What a fun classroom! He practiced his basketball skills during outside play time. Last week on a rare day off from school and work, the kids and I ventured to the Denver Zoo with our neighbors. We saw sea lions, giraffes, lions, elephants, and plenty of other animals.

Charlie ran on the sideline too. And Lydia just enjoyed the sunshine and the grass. Lydia turned 1 on the 11th so we celebrated with a family dinner and ice cream cake.
