Sunday, December 26, 2010. Christmas and skiing/boarding in park city. Anyway, we did our skiing in park city and at the canyons. it snowed about 4 feet in the 2 days before we got there. the first day was a little bit cold and there was some wet snow falling (which made it tough sledding - so to speak) but the next two days were fabulous. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Two Miles into Benton Mckaye. Hit the trail last night about seven and got 600 feet of elevation in two miles before setting up camp and having dinner and some beers. Twelve more miles to cover today to flat top mountain and then down to our takeout location. Beautiful but 30 degrees got a little cold last night. It was a big day for bear as it was the first time he'd ever really been off the leash out in the open. he did a great job staying with us and would never get more than about 30 feet in front without looking back to make sure we were with him. then, he'd come bounding back for some head rubs (or a treat) before heading off to lead the way again. He wasn't as inclined to pose for a picture, though, so i went ahead and scooped him up for this one. Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
