Gurgaon Chalo: October 2007
http://chalochalochalo.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Stories from a year living in Gurgaon, India. Sunday, October 28, 2007. 25,000 march to Delhi. Today en route to brunch in an auto I came across a large number of people lined up for as far as I could see. The men carried flags and the women cooking utensils and other possessions on their heads. I walked with them for about 500 meters and felt very guilty heading in for 4 plates of food immediately after. They had been walking for about 350 km. If you want to read more, here. Monday, October 22, 2007.

Stories from a year living in Gurgaon, India. Saturday, October 20, 2007. Saturdays in Delhi, patterns arising. It took about 9 months (one and a half of which I was back in the states) to find a routine. I have dreams about being a regular like the the guys on Cheers (most of you are probably laughing hysterically or wondering in bewilderment over that), but I don't tend to lead that sort of life. Cheers dreams aside, it's really nice to have a life outside of work here. Today is Durga puga,. Which I wa...

http://chalochalochalo.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Stories from a year living in Gurgaon, India. Tuesday, March 13, 2007. The first night we headed down to the ghats and took a boat ride. The river was beautiful with tea lights in banana leaf boats floating along. That night we had a relaxing dinner at a Nepalese restaurant, which served Mexican and Italian food. Although difficult to find, the family running the restaurant was nice and the seating outdoors. There were just a few tables that felt like picnic tables. Monday, March 5, 2007. I returned to t...

Gurgaon Chalo: August 2007
http://chalochalochalo.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Stories from a year living in Gurgaon, India. Tuesday, August 14, 2007. I was hoping to spend the day on the roof, flying kites and drinking beers, as I was told might be a common way to celebrate. However, there were no kites to be seen in Gurgaon and I was so behind on work I spent the day writing reviews and getting the inbox down to less than 50. Then Durand and I made homemade pasta sauce.
