What does larger family life involve? When you have one or two children (whilst at the time it feels a lot, it’s not really), it’s “normal”, you fit in, and doing things isn’t too hard. You can call a friend/family member and say “hi, is it ok if we call round for a brew? Cooking a meal becomes more of a full on catering event. A regular oven doesn’t seem that big anymore. My first baby :). I thought I would share my very first experience of motherhood, where it all began. It’s started out like any other. I was happily pregnant, we found out we were having a baby girl, we bought a house and moved in when I was 27 weeks pregnant. 2 days later my waters broke and everything changed forever. I was shown how to express my breastmilk for her. Using a hospital pump, I produced lots of lovely golden colostrum which they put into a freezer for when she was ready to start takin...

With a few children of varying ages, I do find it is getting harder to please everyone. The eldest two are currently 10 and 9 and the youngest two are 5 and 3. The first half of the holidays has been mainly about them running round and trashing the house! The weather hasn’t been the best and they have been a bit fed up. Also I have been working.
