Charlie and his human

Charlie and his human. Sunday, September 13, 2015. Lily enjoys observing and discovering the wonders of the world. Most recently she has been enthralled with the properties of bubbles. Pure joy covers her face as she gazes, anticipates, predicts, and hypothesizes. Doing bubbles with her probably could turn into an extended activity if we let it. Her awe begins with how they disappear upon touching her, and continues with her seemingly magical powers of touch which dissolve them as well. Links to this post.

Charlie and his human: Random racing ruminations: Week 14, Solitude

http://charlieandhishuman.blogspot.com/2015/01/random-racing-ruminations-week-14.html

Charlie and his human. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Random racing ruminations: Week 14, Solitude. Mile 1 = 9:58. Mile 2 = 9:48. Mile 3 = 9:07. Mile 4 = 8:56. But when I run through the list in my mind in order to recall the missing memory my brain is like nope, maybe that is everything because even though you feel like you are without something important you must really have everything. The most infuriating piece of all of this: the feeling is 99% correct every time. It means I'm missing something. I heard...

Charlie and his human: The mom club is better than the dad club

http://charlieandhishuman.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-mom-club-is-better-than-dad-club.html

Charlie and his human. Sunday, May 10, 2015. The mom club is better than the dad club. Now, every time I talk with him through the backyard fence I'm reminded of the 90's hit TV show Home Improvement. She reads countless books about baby development and parenting, incorporating how she wants to parent, all without becoming completely obsessed about one "right" way. She is always planning and preparing everything for Lily- at home and at daycare- while she expertly balances the life of a career woman.

Charlie and his human: Random racing ruminations: Week 15, Time

http://charlieandhishuman.blogspot.com/2015/01/random-racing-ruminations-week-15-time.html

Charlie and his human. Thursday, January 22, 2015. Random racing ruminations: Week 15, Time. Mile 1 = 9:31. Mile 2 = 9:38. Mile 3 = 9:17. My training for this half-marathon had a focus on time. My work day was dictated by time, oftentimes on projects I may not have wanted to dedicate energy to, but a necessary part of work. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The human appears content. Working an insomniac mind. In ultra pink skin. Keeping ordinary dogs up at night. The human constantly rolls around.

Charlie and his human: Random racing ruminations: Week 16, Perseverence

http://charlieandhishuman.blogspot.com/2015/01/random-racing-ruminations-week-16.html

Charlie and his human. Monday, January 19, 2015. Random racing ruminations: Week 16, Perseverence. Saturday (4.0 mile run). Mile 1 = 9:15. Mile 2 = 9:04. Mile 3 = 9:32. Mile 4 = 9:31. Sunday (3.0 mile run). Mile 1 = 9:42. Mile 2 = 9:49. Mile 3 = 9:15. I've been dwelling on perseverance lately. In watching Lily learn about the world and observing her experience the most casual of ordinary happenings, I see her persist and persevere on a regular basis. Then some serious self-talk took place. I went upstair...

Charlie and his human: Corn cob trays bring on years of age

http://charlieandhishuman.blogspot.com/2015/03/corn-cob-trays-bring-on-years-of-age.html

Charlie and his human. Monday, March 2, 2015. Corn cob trays bring on years of age. It's that time of year again: my birthday. I've blogged about age in the past. Once last year, several months after my birthday, I wrote a post titled The years of age. At the time I was inspired by the beautiful weather and the delicious beer in my hand. I was thinking about my health status and how time was slowly starting to change me. Two days later, Lily was born. The corn cob tray moments bring me more joy than I ca...

The adventures of Charlie and Helen

The adventures of Charlie and Helen. Thursday, 18 June 2009. Not sure what else to tell - work is hectic - back in at the deep end. C had his first day of work today in 2 years. Was very pleased with himself as his commute was 10 mins each way, he got taken out for lunch and they're giving him a new laptop! Wednesday, 27 May 2009. Denmark was fun.but prohibitively expensive. £8 for a pint. We saw Hamlet's castle, rode a tandem round Copenhagen (first 10 minutes were a bit tense, but afte...Felt like town...

Charlie's and Hilary's Homepage

Welcome to our homepage! Charlie and I (Hilary) graduated from Asbury College (class of '01) in Wilmore, Kentucky. We got married June 24, 2000. Although this started out as a wedding site, it has grown into an all-inclusive homepage. Our purpose in having a wedding homepage was so that far-flung friends and relatives could learn about their friend/relative's new spouse without racking up astronomical phone bills. This page is for you. Caspian Charlie joined our family in July 2006!
