No matter where you go, there you are.: February 2006
http://zalonia.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
No matter where you go, there you are. The crazy rantings of a (mostly) sane person. Friday, February 24, 2006. W, the Mensa Member. My Beef This Week. A coworker of mine made two statements this past week that I just found laughable. 1) George Bush is a republocrat, meaning he’s a moderate. 2) George Bush is intelligent. What makes you think he’s a moderate? How on earth can you call this guy intelligent? Personally, I think he is mildly retarded, or mentally handicapped as the PC term may be. I was...

The Sporadic Gasbag Roundtable: April 2006
http://thesporadicgasbag.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
The Sporadic Gasbag Roundtable. A weekly review of books, movies and TV that really stink! Sunday, April 30, 2006. The Sunday Trumpet- -It's All in a Name. I'm starting my review with a general complaint of a trend. It used to be that very prolific authors would use pseudonyms in order not to flood the market with their work- -or to cross genres. Stephen King, Catherine Cookson and Gwendoline Butler come to mind as examples. You could put her name on a book about harnessing gophers, and it would. Unfortu...

St Louis, Missouri, United States. Welcome to my ruminations. I’m a writer, graphic designer, former teacher, zookeeper of many critters, want-to-be photographer and stressed single mother of teens. I'm a Midwest transplant, hopelessly homesick for my Pacific Northwest roots. I’m also an adoptee and, while I don't live in my struggles with adoption, this is where I sort through them. No matter where you go, there you are. The crazy rantings of a (mostly) sane person. Sunday, September 30, 2007. X is for xylophone. My memory of my first day in public school brings up very vivid and vulnerable feelings. I remember hearing the teachers discuss the alphabet and they wanted to review it for all of us. Apparently at this school, they spent all of kindergarten learning the order of (and how to draw) all 26 fabulous letters. I remember being so unbelievably frustrated. The alphabet? The last...

No matter where you go, there you are. The crazy rantings of a (mostly) sane person. Friday, March 24, 2006. Mr Un-nebulous: Sensitive Guy. My Beef This Week. I really can’t stand super-sensitive people. They can’t much stand me either; I’m like the insensitive bull in the emotional. Apparently, I somehow offended a man that I had a phone interview with. Now I’ve been replaying the interview over and over in my head and the only things that I can come up with as possible offenses are the following:.

No matter where you go, there you are. The crazy rantings of a (mostly) sane person. Wednesday, May 31, 2006. I’ve been paying my rent, where has this money gone? So tomorrow my husband and I go on a massive house hunt. We went last week and didn’t find anything we liked. I cannot believe how people live! Why the fuck would you buy a really nice house and then let your dog chew up the molding and the cats pee all over the place? My Beef This Week. One house we went into had 3 cats abandoned there INSIDE!

No matter where you go, there you are. The crazy rantings of a (mostly) sane person. Sunday, June 24, 2007. Where the hell have I been? Let's see. It's been about a year since I posted my last blog. There are a multitude of excuses, but basically life got in the way. It has a tendency to do that. What's been going on? Okay, I didn't learn Portuguese. But I learned how to say "fuck you" and "your mother's pussy has teeth" in Arabic. To me this past year was getting fired. This was definitely a humbling ex...
