Tuesday, 26 August 2008. Today Lucas and I caught up with Simone and Jake and Liz, Lani and Scarlett. We had a great day. Lucas and Jake seemed to have formed a very good friendship and they enjoy each others company. They are also very cute! I like this . We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them. Worse For my grandchildren, I'd like better. I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and homemade. Ice cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches. I really would.

Monday, 28 January 2008. How slack have I been? Ok well I will TRY to start blogging again, not that many people read it I don't think. I will be back soon to update! UM hello i still read it! I really enjoy creating something just for me, my own pattern - for me. Big ego boost when it all comes out as planned. Thought I'd write up some instructions and include how to create the pattern for my previously posted slipper socks. Baking paper (for pattern pieces). A shoe that fits. Based on babies size 5 shoes). Approx. 30cm of 5mm elastic. Approx 20cmx30cm of material, per sock. (scrap pieces of microfleece were used). Example of the outer pieces cut. Pin, then stitch the sole to the sock.

I have been desperate to blog about it ever since, but of course, with my boys being quite ill - I havent had the chance to come on the net. (thank god for facebook mobile, otherwise I would have died! They are still quite sick, but meh - I need to do this! The bag was impeccably made, just gorgeous! And the little touches really made it special.
