Urgh Rome. I'm pretty sure I can now declare this place my favourite city in Europe. I loved Rome so much, from the beautiful scenery, to the history right there in front of you, to the gelato. I could just go on and on. But lets start at Day One. Saw lots of Italian men shouting, ‘taxi for. 8217; but we thought, nah we’ll go outside to the taxi rank because we trust that. Mistake. We found a guy (wearing an airport jacket- so we thought he was legitimate! But all that aside, the ruins were incredible!

California, Nevada, Arizona. Travel Throwback, July 2012. Amazingly, it’s been four years since I went on this incredible trip around the USA. I don’t want to say it was a, ‘one in a lifetime experience or holiday’, because it wasn’t. I will. Be going back there one day, and I will. Repeat all the amazing things I did. 24 hours in Florence, and we managed to do practically everything I had written down on our list! Over 1,000 steps climbed, one cathedral, two towers, two museums and one hike up to a park to watch the sunset. Now I think that's an achievement in itself! I'm currently 23, and I've been in education for most of that time, so travel wasn't exactly top priority as a child/teenager. But as I hit my 20's my wanderlust has gone crazy. I want to go everywhere. I want to see everything. And I want to do it all now. This map right now doesn't look that filled out, but I so don't want to see anymore grey spaces. September 20, 2015. Iceland, an essay. Grab a cuppa, this is a long one! So Iceland was a trip arranged for James (my brother) for his 21. Dessert was liquorice ice cream, which was amazing! Apparently liquorice is a delicacy in Iceland and from then on, we found it everywhere. Needless to say on the way home we left the airport with a bucketload. You from vomiting. Travel Throwback, July 2012. Yosemite National Park, California. The first place I really fell in love with, and the spark of my wanderlust. It was also the beginning of my time with anxiety and panic disorder, but that’s a whole other blog post! In the Summer of 2012, we travelled across three American States, and visited Yosemite on day #. We stayed at Evergreen Lodge. Which just reminded me of an American Summer Camp (see The Parent Trap. 1998) and stayed in a raised cabin- to keep away from the bears!

Barcelona | Charlotte Brads

We debated eating lunch there, but opted for tradition after finding a little tapas place on a side street. Santa Anna. Had trip advisor signs all over the door, so I trusted it. But I definitely wouldn't go back. I had the saltiest paella, and the service wasn't that great either. After a filling but not so satisfying lunch, we made our way back to the hotel for what became a three hour nap. But not before checking out the rooftop pool. We stayed in Yurbban Trafalgar. Which made me a very happy girl.
