http://charlottepetersrockpoetry.blogspot.com/2007/11/lapis-lazuli.html
Charlotte Peters Rock - Poetry. Tuesday, 20 November 2007. Spread as far as Cleopatra. Blue to contrast with her scarab stones. Guarding the ancient throne of Egypt. Along the Silk Road. Alexander's elephants hauled its precious weight. Blue as the skies it touched. In steady daylight moving West. Gleaming blue it glows along the ceiling. Of the Sistine Chapel and. Across the world where paintings. By Michelangelo and da Vinci. Are prized for beauty and inventiveness. Six thousand years of labour.

British Lifeboatmen: Robert Patton - The Always Ready
http://britishlifeboatmen.blogspot.com/2011/04/robert-patton-always-ready.html
The songs shown under British Lifeboatmen are written around the history of the bravery - in all weathers - of young - and sometimes very old - men around the British Isles - - back to main site. Friday, 1 April 2011. Robert Patton - The Always Ready. Robert Patton - The Always Ready. Always Ready - he was always ready. In nineteen-thirty-four he gave his life. Always Ready - he was always ready. Aged forty-six he gave away his life. Was a salvage steamer - sinking in the blast. And Robert Patton said.

Child Poems and Poems of Childhood. Tuesday, 20 November 2007. In another lifetime, aged 11. In another lifetime, aged 11. So keen on pleasing all. Is not the one I came to be. That she must please herself. Then let the others come to see. When happy and content. Her ways pleased them in empathy. Such pleasure would be spread. To need no soft apology. Child Poems and Poems of Childhood: Statia and The Standing Stones
http://charlottepetersrockchildpoems.blogspot.com/2007/11/statia-and-standing-stones.html
Child Poems and Poems of Childhood. Wednesday, 14 November 2007. Statia and The Standing Stones. When I was little. The big girl - and her friends - took me out. I sat in the pushchair and she pushed. Her name was Statia. And she was very nice to me. We went a long way. Near the Convent where she went to school. There were Standing Stones. They were very old. Some of them were flat like tables. The rest were very tall and straight. Just like people standing very still. We had a picnic near the Stones.

Charlotte Peters Rock - Songs: Cranage Airmen - Defenders of Peace
http://charlottepetersrocksongs.blogspot.com/2007/11/cranage-airmen-defenders-of-peace.html
Charlotte Peters Rock - Songs. Wednesday, 14 November 2007. Cranage Airmen - Defenders of Peace. They flew over Liverpool. In clouds of smoke. And flowers of flame. They flew over Liverpool. To keep us safe. They played the game. But it was no game at all. Their lives floating high. Dying to save us all. They fell from the sky. They came from across the earth. To win the world war. Showing what they were worth. In Liverpool people saw. Those men in their ariel war. To lift their despair. To keep us safe.

Charlotte Peters Rock - Songs: Ritalin Johnnie
http://charlottepetersrocksongs.blogspot.com/2007/11/ritalin-johnnie.html
Charlotte Peters Rock - Songs. Wednesday, 14 November 2007. He was a bright lad little Johnnie. And he ran around the room. His head was always full of ideas. He was a bright lad little Johnnie. And he ran around the room. Now Johnnie doesn't run any more. Johnnie used to play his games alone. He counted toes and gurgled at the moon. He bounced around his dinner. And he set the world alight. He woke up every morning far too soon. Johnnie used to run to feed the ducks. He ran into the water and he stood.

Charlotte Peters Rock - Songs: Col-Sgt P Humphreys CGC (Conspicuous Gallantry Cross - Bosnia 1995)
http://charlottepetersrocksongs.blogspot.com/2007/11/col-sgt-p-humphreys-cgc-conspicuous.html
Charlotte Peters Rock - Songs. Wednesday, 14 November 2007. Col-Sgt P Humphreys CGC (Conspicuous Gallantry Cross - Bosnia 1995). Over the top it wasn’t. They never were down in a trench. Their Saxons were out in the open. And there was no place to re-trench. It’s a curious job - this policing. The whole population needs calm. To get on with strange-normal living. You’re there to see they take no harm. Sgt Humphreys was out in Gorazde. Not fighting but keeping things calm. The Bosnian snipers were killing.
