To my older child. April 14, 2016. Tonight, I felt like a failure. Specifically, I felt like I failed at being your mom. There was no huge event that occurred to make me feel this way. It came down to life, really, as I look back on it now. This post began writing itself in my head as I was in the …Continue Reading. Click to print (Opens in new window). Thursday, September 20, 2012. Project: Food Budget) Week 51. Gosh I get tired of cooking sometimes.I mean I LOVE to cook (haha just typed sook by mistake.oh the irony) but the kids endlessly changing palates exhaust me! Sure lasagna was great LAST week, but THIS week it's disgusting.*sigh*. Anywho, in terms of budget, things are pretty good - food wise - good thing this isn't Project: Incidental Spending O o. Did I mention I have a kid who hasn't eaten a lunch box sandwich in 14 years? Two Eggs Over Easy.
brandon and on...: Project Food Budget

29 Days of Didge'. March 15, 2012. Week 24 of Project: Week 1 for Brandon. Total Spent: $171.52. Goal: I had no goal (this is my first week! This was an interesting process for me, I did notice I was more conscious of my food spending and naturally wanted to keep my ‘no-goal budget’ as low as possible. Now that I know what I spent I can gage my resources better, look and see what worked and what didn’t work and create a budget for next week, which will be $125. Want to get on board? Two Eggs Over Easy.
fourhappyviolets: (Project: Food Budget) Week 41
http://fourhappyviolets.blogspot.com/2012/07/project-food-budget-week-41.html
Friday, July 20, 2012. Project: Food Budget) Week 41. This week I have switched to shopping twice a week, Sunday and Thursday. I have also been cooking during the day and reheating at night. It makes for a cleaner kitchen and less to do at witching hour! Obviously not everything can be prepared this way, but a lot can especially in Winter with slow cooked meals, soups, casseroles, curries and the like. I also plan to join the gym and hope to attend a couple of evenings. Sunday - Home made pizza. Septembe...

Ignite Your Life: How Healthy Can You Afford to Be
http://ignitethegift.blogspot.com/2012/09/how-healthy-can-you-afford-to-be.html
September 20, 2012. How Healthy Can You Afford to Be. But the initial bill is a shock. It seems to work out that if a splurge on making homemade goodies I don't buy the more expensive commercial alternative. I also find myself trying to make a mental spreadsheet of groceries. For example I try to keep track of which store has the cheapest almond milk. I really want to make an actual spreadsheet of these things, but that seems like a huge project and I don't know what good it would do me. Six Dollars a Day.
Ignite Your Life: Butterflies and Ice Baths
http://ignitethegift.blogspot.com/2012/08/butterflies-and-ice-baths.html
August 15, 2012. Butterflies and Ice Baths. I am looking at myself as a butterfly these days. Shopping, recipes, food costs, and menus consume me. I cannot figure out why this is! Oh, I know. cause I'm a Health Coach. I am trying hard to feed my family healthy on a budget. I coach people on how to eat healthier. But I myself am struggling, and I realize how hard it is, to feed a family with little kids in this fast paced life cheaply with food they will eat. Kids can be picky. really? Slow down and plan.

Just another WordPress.com site. Well hello there…. Goodness it has been such a long time since I have blogged. I am so mad at myself for not keeping up with the monthly updates on Liam. With Christmas, his 1st birthday, and a trip to California, I just haven’t had a lot of spare time and needed a bit of a break. Liam has really progressed so much in the last couple of months! It is mind-boggling how quickly they change. A lot has changed since then! He is now walking! Woah have we been busy lately!
