What kind of flower is this? 2 squirrels, cut up. 1 can vegetables, (mixed). 1 can cream of mushroom soup. Boil squirrels and remove meat from bones Mix altogether in casserole dish. 1 stick margerine (melted). 1 cup self rising flour. Mix and pour over top of squirrels in casserole dish. BAKE AT 375 DEGREES FOR 30-45 MINUTES. Pop Pop's Corn Pone. 1 1/4 cups Water Ground Corn Meal. 1 egg, well beaten. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder. 3 tablespoon Bacon drippings.

Mild winters are enjoyable and the opportunity to use the fireplace for a couple of months makes living warm and comfy. Autumn is the nicest time of the year with warm days and cool nights.

Are year round activities on lake Guntersville.This area offers hundreds of miles of shoreline to be utilized by the most ardent boater and fisherman. The "Bassmasters" and other fishing tournaments are held regularly to the delight of hundreds of participants. This makes the Lake a tourist mecca for this enjoyable sport. Boats of all sizes and shapes from luxury cruisers to sailboats, pontoon boats and those used to tow water skiers make an interesting array on the Lake waters.

Early Spring in The Orchard. Winter in the South is just a short interlude between Autumn and Spring. Beginning in March the fruit trees of the Orchard begin to exhibit their green finery,leading to colorful blossoms and eventually throughout the late Spring, Summer and Fall to produce the finest of plums, nectarines, peaches, pears and apples of all varieties.

Because of the relatively short winter and the early warm temperatures, vegetables can be planted in early to mid march. The cool weather crops such as lettuce, peas, beets, radishes, onions, cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower can be planted. Later in mid April we can plant the "real" summer crops such as tomatoes,corn, squash, cucumbers, okra, peppers and a variety of summer produce.
