http://nobogame.blogspot.com/2013/08/hello-from-connecticut-d.html
Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Tuesday, August 6, 2013. So we're in connecticut! Everything so far has been pretty awesome. it took us about a week, and we still don't fully have our trail legs, but swayze has totally perked up, and just the other day, we pulled our first 21-mile day. granted, the day after, those numbers were reversed, and we just did 12, but we're getting there. :). It's so cold for summertime! I miss seeing and talking to everybody! Much love to you folks! Old c...

http://nobogame.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. What if you hadn't been in such a rush to get to the post office for that mail drop? Thirty seconds can be the difference between being in the right place at the right time and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. these days, i try and not rush through my meetings on the trail. i hope and pray he his brought justice. Oh and also let me see a moose. Links to this post. Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Maine has been good a...

angie and the appalachian trail: mail drops
http://nobogame.blogspot.com/p/mail-drops.html
Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Please keep in mind that i would love to send y'all postcards while i'm hiking. :) send me a facebook message with your address so i can do so! Basically, the post offices along the AT accept general delivery packages as long as they're clearly marked that the package is intended for a thru-hiker. here's an example of how a package would be shipped if i decided to send myself extra supplies to damascus, virginia:. Damascus, virginia 24236. Dried out b...

Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Monday, August 19, 2013. My, how time has flown by! I am currently in vermont and as i type this, i'm downing a pint of ben and jerry's phish food. vermont has been amazing thus far! Are you ready for this? I had a bacon, egg and cheese mcgriddle, a sausage biscuit, and a cinnamon melt that was washed down by two big glasses of sweet tea (thank GOD mcdonald's exist in the north)! My pack is newly decorated! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Monday, June 24, 2013. A brief view of things to come. :). Lots of fun things are happening, ladies 'n' gents. In the past two weeks, i've talked with both of my managers concerning a 6-week leave of absense for the end of july through august that would allow me to go finish the AT. They were really nice. the guy offered moral support to swayze when she had to swim across the river, haha. she wasn't too fond of that. Section hiking kinda sucks, though...

http://nobogame.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Thursday, August 29, 2013. A rant for crappy dog owners everywhere. I don't know what's been so weird about the last day, but i've run into two really crappy dog owners in a row, and they've both made me SO MAD! Or even reprimand her dog for its behavior! She was just like, "oh. ok. my dog just jumped on yours. that's cool." she tied it to the railing of the porch after that. And you can't read dog body language? How ignorant can you be? Tuesday, Augu...

http://nobogame.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Monday, May 21, 2012. I'll take being a hippie ten days at a time. Okay, so how awesome is this: last week, i went eight days between showers. :). I miss hiking so much. 3. We only did 10 miles that day, and right before we got to the shelter, two guys hiked up behind us and asked which one of us worked at REI. "uncle nole" (sp? Meat and coffee definitely could have gone on and left me behind. i was slowing them down. But that day sound up being perfe...

http://nobogame.blogspot.com/p/eff-ay-que.html
Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. The appalachian trail. you know. that thing we briefly touched on in high school. it's a trail that was thought of in 1921 and completed in 1937. it runs 2,181 miles from springer mountain, georgia to mount katahdin, maine. it's said to take roughly 5,000,000 steps to complete it. we'll see. i'm carrying a cheapo pedometer. Are you going alone? Of course not. i'll have my dog with me! What will you eat? How will you get food? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

angie and the appalachian trail: September 2011
http://nobogame.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Angie and the appalachian trail. The things we carry. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Aqua-mira and won't ever purchase another set. i will forever stand behind msr's sweetwater drops. 3 so from that point on, if i wanted any water that i didn't feel 100% safe in drinking (such as from a spring, right out of a rock), i was going to have to boil every drop of it. which would have gotten to be quite a pain, considering i drink upwards of 3L a day. I could never do that! Links to this post. I have decided th...
