Nashville Newbies: June 2012
http://nashvillenewbies.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 9, 2012. Baby Judah was so alert and active, and it was quite surreal to see my best friend as a momma. Both Jenny and Lindsay are naturals! I also got the privilege of going to an ultrasound for another one of my best friends, Sarah. It's such a amazing miracle to see that precious baby boy flipping and turning in Sarah's belly. I'll be learning from the best when my turn comes! Of course I didn't take a lot of pictures with my real camera (why does that always happen? But here's a couple.

Nashville Newbies: December 2010
http://nashvillenewbies.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 17, 2010. I'm a list-maker. Always have and always will be. I think breaking tasks up into smaller, more manageable tasks just makes me more productive and less overwhelmed. So I think I'm just going to turn this blog into a permanent list of randomness. It's the only way I'll keep this thing semi-updated. I've been inspired by my sis. 3 You can pray for us as we continue to find community in a church body. We're so grateful for super fun friends like Lindsey. 4 Even as close as we thoug...

Mattie Babb: Fatherhood Wisdom
http://mattiebabb.blogspot.com/2011/07/fatherhood-wisdom.html
Saturday, July 9, 2011. Take for a post on fatherhood from A Cup of Jo. 3 “My wife acted a little like she was on drugs.”. Up until you have a baby, whatever happens, you and your wife pretty much respond the same way. You're on the same wavelength. But once the baby arrives, every thing that happens, your wife has a 90-degree different take. Joanna's highs were higher, and her lows were lower. Her general joyfulness was so high; she was starry-eyed and blissed out. I love how beautifully detailed Alex l...

Mattie Babb: The Life You've Always Wanted
http://mattiebabb.blogspot.com/2009/07/life-youve-always-wanted.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2009. The Life You've Always Wanted. I am learning so many things. So many things that I have wanted to believe were true for a long time, but the world was telling me different. He is now affirming them for me. Take "spiritual highs" for instance. You know those times you go through when your prayer life is kickin', you're yearning His direction, feeling His presence? In truth, both seasons are inevitable, and both seasons can bring unique growth"(55). Did you catch it? Kaylynn Marie...

Mattie Babb: Community and Dating: Abide
http://mattiebabb.blogspot.com/2010/11/community-and-dating-abide.html
Saturday, November 20, 2010. Community and Dating: Abide. Luke and I always knew that God had to be the center of our relationship. We've always said that was our goal. We've always been told that's what it means to live life together as a Christian couple. God had to be the center. So now let me tell you:. We had no. idea. what. that. meant. And we're pretty sure no one telling us knew either. In an effort to be the "spiritual leader" in our relationship (. Whatever that meant),. Your actions reflect yo...

Mattie Babb: 1 Peter 4:14
http://mattiebabb.blogspot.com/2011/01/1-peter-414.html
Thursday, January 6, 2011. I'm excited this morning. I guess I'm realizing how much I take for granted that the Spirit of the Lord does work in us 24/7. I take it for granted, and I quickly forget. But today I am reminded. Even when I don't recognize it, the Spirit moves and changes hearts. How amazing that we get to live life with a higher power, the One that holds everything in place, the One that changes lives and surpasses death, works in my heart nonstop? Mattie Babb: freedom part1
http://mattiebabb.blogspot.com/2010/01/freedom-part1.html
Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Unless you are a newcomer to my blog, it is no surprise to anyone that I'm a big fan of taking God out of the box; of making Him more than just a sermon and a few hymns, more than just a list of to-do's and not-to-do's. Freely. And by "freely," I don't mean without Him. I mean entirely. I've been thinking a LOT lately on what it means to abide, and trying to get people to understand that it's an every day. Who made up the accepting Jesus into your heart prayer? That might have ...

Mattie Babb: Things I Just Need to Say Out Loud
http://mattiebabb.blogspot.com/2011/02/things-i-just-need-to-say-out-loud.html
Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Things I Just Need to Say Out Loud. Conflict, in God’s eyes, is a great opportunity to show His glory… even when it is caused by sin. Even in the midst of great stress. Mattie Babb: what if
http://mattiebabb.blogspot.com/2010/03/what-if.html
Monday, March 15, 2010. What if we lived in a world where we celebrated death? Where we threw a party when someone passed because they are getting to be with their Savior! Their purpose is fulfilled and the goal is met. What if? What if we lived in a world where individuality triumphed? What if we lived in a world where everyone went to school for the sake of knowledge and nothing else. Examinations were terminated and the pressure of achieving high grades were just gone! From the heart of Mattie Babb.
