Friday, 7 August 2015. Scilly Pelagic no 2. My second evening pelagic from St Marys (setting off at 5.00pm) and it was mostly about the familiar 'ever present' seabirds of the area. Starting off with a good few Manx Shearwater. Only minutes in, near St Agnes! A fly-by Arctic Skua. And cracking views of Bonxies. Taking on the gulls in the wake of the boat! A mizzle /drizzle start to the morning but it eventually cleared up and three Great Shearwaters put in appearance, the first two coming within range. Here's the first one.
