Woensdag 26 oktober 2011. Deze stad heeft geld, véél geld. Gelukkig kan je je er ook super amuseren zonder een frank op te doen. Gapend (van verbazing! Treasure island, Sirens show. Cocktail shaker, party! Joshua Tree National Park. Food in the desert. We ontmoetten ook nog Lynn, een kunsttherapeute die in de ArtBarn met foster kinderen werkt, zij is de eigenlijke WWOOF-host. Een vermoeiende dag die we afsloten op onze thuis in Amerika. een Walmart-parking. LA in one day. Waffle met kip, bacon en spinazie.

Vrijdag 24 februari 2012. Alvorens richting evenaar te rijden maakten we een omweg langs het Noordelijkste deel van het continent. Onderweg dompelden we ons even in een (2km diep) modderbad in de krater van een vulkaan (een klein vulkaantje bleek toen we de 30 meter hoge modderpuist in zicht kregen). Vrijdag 25 november 2011. Al een goeie 10 dagen reizen we de Mexicaanse westkust 'naar beneden', en elke kilometer zuidelijker worden de baantjes ruwer en de nachten heter. Ons zee-avontuur begon in Mazatlan, we vonden een verlaten strand met perfecte surfbreak en amuseerden ons zalig met een gehuurd longboard. Chasing Our American Dream
Thursday, September 13, 2012. This year I turned 26! It was a little hard for both Chase and I to stomach that we are on the downslope to 30, meep :/ Wow! We celebrated on our way back from Baker City all weekend! It was incredible to have our little family together to enjoy the last few day of summer! We did some shopping, ate some delicious food, stayed in some great hotels, miniature golf and even the water park! We were exhausted by the time we were done! It was absolutely wonderful! I was so excited!

We partied their actual birthday weekend with Grandma Sue, JenJen, Tyler and Emma Kate.including meals at Sumo and Golden Corral.ha! I love the variety! The following weekend we had their party and Granny and Gramp were here. It was a week long birthday celebration!
