Chasing the Kids. and God Too. July 6, 2015. An update of sorts. Oh, once a month blogging. If y'all only knew how many posts I wrote in my head that NEVER make it to the keyboard! Anyhew. an update. I told the tech that we didn't want to know as soon as I sat down so that I wouldn't give in to temptation. She was very sweet and avoided those revealing parts as best as she could with baby being folded in half! We are VERY close to closing on a new house! We'll end with a few pictures. May 18, 2015. Chasing the Kids... and God Too: September 2014

http://www.chasingthekids.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Chasing the Kids. and God Too. September 29, 2014. Hannah and Adaiah celebrated their birthday last Friday. I have another year to be thankful that they still think sharing a birthday is the coolest thing ever. God, may they always be giddy about sharing their special day with each other. amen. The girls had some of the best reactions to their gifts this year. It was pure joy to watch them. This was a barbie set with a little purse, sunglasses, and "smartphone". We have entered the world of American Girl.

Chasing the Kids. and God Too. November 25, 2014. The past few weeks. Have gone by so quickly! Getting into our townhome was chaotic but we are here. I underestimated the amount of time I would have once we got here. Knowing Roger was home I thought I could find some free time to blog a little bit. Insert laugh track here. We had a house to unpack, libraries to visit (because hello, we have 2 awesome libraries here and we can now get books for FREE), and school to re-start. We are excited to have you!

Chasing the Kids. and God Too. October 31, 2014. It's all a blur. Then we started looking for new cars. We want a 12 passenger van anyway. We looked a few times while we were living in TX and there were always a few options (we looked on CL here in IN. Where we lived in TX there weren't any large vans. ever). but not this time. Minivan? They could fix it but it wouldn't be ready the same day. We drove past a few houses, ruling out all but one. It might. snow. Friday. night. Ok, I get it. We both grew...

Foster care and Adoption. Foster care and Adoption. I want to be able to give insight into this area because this is our family. There are many resources out there but if you are interested in getting started in foster care you can do a variety of things. There are many facets to being a foster parent as far as what age, their background, will you take in sibling sets or older children, respite care only and so on and so forth. This is something that only you can know. Know this there is ALWAYS a...Sprin...

The Swartz Five!: Day trip

http://swartzbros.blogspot.com/2015/02/day-trip.html

Saturday, February 07, 2015. Sam and I took the kids on a little day trip to Rapid. Charlie had a Dr's appointment so the rest of us hung out at a park (the weather was crazy nice for February! Until they were done. Callen LOVED the swings and couldn't stop giggling when Caiyah would give him little pushes. Cooper and Lex spent most of the time digging in the sand and burying pinecones. Those two are so funny! They just love each other so much. Then it was time for the much anticipated Chuck E Cheese!

Saturday, February 28, 2015. A Pregnancy Update of Sorts. If you've known me for a while and/or have been reading my blog during my last three pregnancies (pregnancies #1 and #2 happened before I knew about blogging! But not this time. It's NOT that I'm not happy about being pregnant. As a matter of fact, I'm THRILLED to be honored once again with the privilege of carrying a tiny one within me; and I long for the day when I can hold him (or possibly her. In my arms, like the beautiful figurine below.

Spilled: Because My Cup Overflows: Why Spilled?

http://www.davenespilled.com/p/why-spilled.html

I feel like I'm always. Needing to clean something up! My reason for having this blog is two-fold: first, that by spilling my words here, I will be better equipped to release the stresses of my messy life and, consequently, hang onto the truly important aspects that are left when the temporal is gone, and second, that the heart-overflow that occurs here would somehow spill into the lives of my readers and be, in some small way, a blessing to them. Monday, August 31, 2015. And Now, Folks, for Our After-Dinner Entertainment.". I would really like for those two English walnut trees to be cut down soon," I announced at the dinner table this evening. I was thinking that Dad might be able to arrange for Alex, the man who rents the gray house from Dad (and who conveniently happens to have a lawn-mowing and landscaping business), to cut down the trees sometime this fall. I can do that," Jeff surprised me by saying. Well, let me clarify: he started. 6 I lo...

Saturday, May 30, 2015. The Golden Second Trimester. Sometimes I almost forget I'm pregnant. It's not that I forget that, Lord willing, we'll have a new little baby boy in our house when September comes. Oh no, he. Is never far from my thoughts; and my conversations as well as my daydreams reflect that. Tobin asks, "When will choir start again for me? A dozen or more times a day, I think about him. And joy and anticipation accompany such thoughts. But even still, I forget I'm pregnant. But the best part ...

Chasing the Jersey

A whole new way to play the game. Saturday, April 25, 2015. Not all those who wander are lost. There are a handful of things I have written in the last ten years that have brought me to tears during the process. Most of those things have been about loss, or about rock bottom moments. They've been my anger rants to exes or self awareness posts about depression. For once in my life, the tears on the keyboard are for happiness. A bitter sweet goodbye to a place that not only changed my life, but saved it.

Ran the Green Valley 10-miler in February and only a minute slower than my PR, which is a miracle considering the weight I've put on in 7 years. Didn't run Tobacco Road Marathon in March - had another case of vertigo. Ah memories of 2009-2010. Ran the Smoky Mountain Relay with the most fun team. Warning: this relay is mountainous AF. Saturday, September 12, 2009. Or Are We Dancers? I don’t know about you, but I certainly am a blogger. I miss you, bIog. I miss writing and publishing. I’ve been scribbling popcorns [this is what I call the random thoughts that ultimately pop in my mind]. I feel like I have to learn a different enormous life lesson every week. And I have to cram them all inside my helpless pink brain. You know what? I certainly believe I grow up and mature faster than my age. I am seventeen going on 35! Links to this post.
