Chatback is a group of 11-18 year old young people from foster families. It is made up of young people who are in foster care and the birth children of foster carers who want to help other young people in the 'looked after system' to have a voice. Chatback aims to break down barriers and dispel myths about 'being in care' through their media production group. Chatback is a youth led group. All the ideas for their projects originate from the young people.

Chatback meets on a weekday evening in Kingswinford. The meetings take the form of a workshop where the Chatback crew plan and rehearse their projects. In the workshops they decide which issues they wish to tackle that will benefit themselves and others in the looked after system. They recognise the need to educate others because of their own experiences. Chatback members have the opportunity to achieve the Arts Award. At Bronze or Silver level. This is a recognised national qualification.
