Navigating the slopes of life as a teacher, writer and mum. Bee’s Beautiful Books. February 4, 2014. 10 minutes of my day. The time between 2:48pm and 3:05pm is sacred space. At that particular time of the day, I have just wrestled my Little Bean into his snow suit and into the stroller, grabbed a snack for the Lil Bee, offered some milk to Bean (who always refuses, but hey – a mama has to offer, right? I pull on my hat, snood (yes, I said that-) and mittens and shove the stroller out the door. We live a...

Navigating the slopes of life as a teacher, writer and mum. Bee’s Beautiful Books. Bee’s Beautiful Books. I am mad about Children’s Literature! I believe that a good story should touch the reader, no matter what age they are. So read these books with or without children around….and enjoy. With love from, Bee oxox. PS I have not been paid or sponsored to share any of my reviews. These are simply books that I love. Just so you know…. The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. 5 yrs and up.

http://alicesadventuresintomotherland.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Alice's Adventures into Motherland. Friday, 27 August 2010. I've been suffering from writers block this week. The weather has been dull and so has my mood! But the sun is out this afternoon and I was given a little treat all of my own earlier. I felt baby's first kick! I've been feeling slight movement for a little while but it is hard to tell if its the baby or just wind! Today, however, I definitely got a kick :). Monday, 23 August 2010. I've had a bit of a weepy day today. I'm not even sure why! I did...

http://alicesadventuresintomotherland.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Alice's Adventures into Motherland. Saturday, 16 April 2011. Well it's been a while since I blogged (again! But time to do it is hard to come by, any spare moments I get I just want to sleep! Sleep ah that would be nice! I am breast feeding on demand, which I love, but I would love it even more if Olivia would sleep a bit longer in the early mornings! Lately she's been waking up around 2-3am then again at 4 or 5 then 6. All these wakings are taking its toll on me and to some extent Grant. I have recently...

Alice's Adventures into Motherland: September 2010
http://alicesadventuresintomotherland.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Alice's Adventures into Motherland. Friday, 24 September 2010. Nightmare day in the rain. It all started on our way home from the scan on Weds. The car started flashing engine malfunction at me, so I stopped, pulled over and we checked the oil. Nothing seemed a miss so we carried on. Half way home it happened again, this time, luckily, we were outside a Ford dealership so we thought we'd see what they had to say. I was pretty tragic at this point! I sat on a fence outside the car as I have been told on m...

The crib | Bees On Skis
https://beesonskis.wordpress.com/2015/03/02/the-crib
Navigating the slopes of life as a teacher, writer and mum. Bee’s Beautiful Books. March 2, 2015. So someone from freecycle is coming to pick up the crib today. They are going to take our crib and use it for their newborn baby. I am happy that our well loved baby bed will be used for another happy family. F says it’s exciting – the kids have bunk beds and Bean is sleeping on the bottom bunk like a “big boy”. The kids are getting bigger and we can do more things with them now. Bunk beds are soo cool.
