OneDayWhenTheWeatherIsWarm: January 2008
http://onedaywhentheweatheriswarm.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Sing me a rainbow, steal me a dream. Monday, January 28, 2008. I played basketball tonight and while warming up, I sent a behind the back pass to a teammate and immediately felt my tricep cramp up into a tight painful ball. I spent the rest of the night trying to stretch that bastard out. A classic old man injury. I guess I should eat more bananas! Needless to say, I did not share this story with 'e'. Sucks to be getting old. Sunday, January 27, 2008. Family 'yoko' and another lame list. 1) Told the comp...

Do Your Dharma: February 2009
http://karmacrispian.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 13, 2009. I commute by bicycle as often as I can, 8 miles each way to and from my office, and mostly along Lake Washington. To which I can only reply, "Me? I'm just a humble stone cutter. On my evening commute." Heh, heh. I arrive home in breathless, blissful humility. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Been a long time. I commute by bicycle as often as I can, 8 miles ea. View my complete profile.

Do Your Dharma: January 2009
http://karmacrispian.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Barack Obama, a man of ideas, introspection and great oration, stood and delivered a fantastic speech, and Bush sat at his side, those narrow eyes growing more vacuous by the minute. Was he thinking, “wow, this guy is so smart, how come I can’t write speeches like that? 8221; No. How about: “ wow, where does he get his ideas and his inspiring tone? 8220; No. Bush is so incurious and unaware, he was likely thinking, “wow, that’s a great suit.”. Do Your Dharma: Adventures in the Pacific States
http://karmacrispian.blogspot.com/2008/06/karma-and-tiffs-pacific-states.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Adventures in the Pacific States. We're just back from a Pacific states road and foot trip. The battered Matrix's 4 cylinders led us through 4 state capitals - in WA, OR, CA and I don't how the hell to abbreviate Nevada. By the way, isn't it interesting how each of these states has a second tier city as its capital? I mean - Salem? I guess the NV [got it! Legislature is rolling in all types of green. We hit 4 national areas along the way. I'm sensing a number pattern here...

Do Your Dharma: Ruminations on Summer
http://karmacrispian.blogspot.com/2011/06/ruminations-on-summer_24.html
Friday, June 24, 2011. With Summer here on the calendar if not in spirit, a single evening from a past Summer remains salient an clear in my memory, reminding me why I love Seattle in the high season. That evening, immediately on leaving work, I biked to the International District - to Uwajimaya - to buy a backpack full of Japanese food. Resting on the sofa, it was a sort of masochistic, even-tempered ecstasy. The rest of the world gets only road rage on their varied commutes. And, as the rest of the...

OneDayWhenTheWeatherIsWarm: October 2008
http://onedaywhentheweatheriswarm.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sing me a rainbow, steal me a dream. Monday, October 13, 2008. Mystery pee in my bed. Did R Kelly enter my room and mistake me for a 13 year old girl? I awoke at 4:36 am to a giant wet spot next to my dog in the middle of the bed. It doesn't smell like pee, but what else could it be? I assume it was my old dog, but it doesn't make sense. For the record, my dog has NEVER done this before and in the past, she has ALWAYS woke me up when she needs to go. Thankfully my mattress is dry. On a less lighter note.

OneDayWhenTheWeatherIsWarm: Soft landings in Kansas
http://onedaywhentheweatheriswarm.blogspot.com/2008/10/soft-landings-in-kansas.html
Sing me a rainbow, steal me a dream. Monday, October 6, 2008. Soft landings in Kansas. Getting settled in Lawrence and at the university. Today, I got keys and an ID. My office has a great view.I'm in the top floor of a historic old building. My "Obama" sign lasted about 18 hours in my front yard. WTF! I guess I got a few republican neighbors.despite this being the most liberal town in Kansas. Sign number two went up tonight. I would LOVE to catch the person who took the sign. L.O....I joined the coop...

OneDayWhenTheWeatherIsWarm: May 2008
http://onedaywhentheweatheriswarm.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Sing me a rainbow, steal me a dream. Friday, May 16, 2008. I’m sitting in Zoka (coffee shop) being reasonably good today…working on a beautiful sunny day. I didn’t work much yesterday as I chose to lay out in the sun, read, and get a nice burn/tan. I admit that I enjoy watching these reactions in other people…actions that I typically won’t allow in myself. People are reserved in general and in general, that is a good thing. I don’t want to be around a society of people emoting a...Monday, May 12, 2008.

OneDayWhenTheWeatherIsWarm: August 2008
http://onedaywhentheweatheriswarm.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sing me a rainbow, steal me a dream. Tuesday, August 19, 2008. 10 days ago, I drove with limited stops to Billings, MT in 11.5 hours.a new record! I managed to break my telephoto lens when it fell off of the porch railing one day. I was planning on taking pictures of Am. goldfinches at close range as they fed at my mother's feeder. Who was the idiot who placed it there and then, hooked the strap onto a chair that was being moved by MEEEEE? I've been working all night. It's 3:30 in the morning and I'm ...
