Sometimes things just work out - I saw the pattern for this tank, and I knew I wanted to make it, so I did. Okay, its not a great story, but it is a great project, you have to give me that. This one is going to be a store sample at JP Knit and Stitch, but eventually its for my mom. Even though its mostly boring stockinette stitch, the finished tank is just so simple and elegant that Im considering making another one for me, like, next week. By Mona Schmidt for Espace Tricot. From JP Knit and Stitch.

In mid-August I start yearning for all things fall, so yesterday I took a trip to JP Knit and Stitch. To buy some yarn for fall projects. Id already asked the kids what they needed/wanted. Theyre both pretty well set on hats and mittens and scarves. The boy asked for a Captain America pullover sweater, so I got some red, white and blue Cascade 220 Superwash for him:. And the starchild asked for those soft shoes I wrote about last time. And a pixie poncho (a Spud and Chloë. Posted at 11:05 AM in knitting.

Monday, October 26, 2009. Look at these handsome boys that I get to live with. I love these guys a lot and I'm so lucky that they are here in VA with me to keep me busy and keep me happy. Yesterday was the primary program and Liam and Sean both did a great job saying their parts that they memorized. It was a nice program and it went well. I love the ties. You might not be able to tell but Adam's shirt is really tight at the neck but he didn't mind bc he loves doing anything that his brothers are doing.

Sunday, August 16, 2009. We were so happy to have our most wonderful visitors this past week. Jen and Emma came out to VA for about one week and we played all week long. It was wonderful. Liam and Sean went to the airport with me to pick them up and dressed up as Optimus. Prime and a tiger. Jen and Emma were so excited to see them. Of course the first thing we did was head to the beach. Everyone worked hard on building sandcastles and playing in the ocean. And then he would come hug us and give us kisses...

This was one of the only snow days in CO this winter. We had a lot of fun. We went sledding also. The boys loved it. We will miss this action once we're in VA. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Our adventures in Boston and beyond. Wednesday, May 9, 2012. A few days ago I posted that Kenneth and I have lived in 2 different states and 6 different places. Well, this fall we are going to make that 7! We'll be looking for a new place to live here:. Kenneth was given a fellowship at the SMITHSONIAN! He is going to have a residency there for a year, an office, access to their archives, and he gets to work full time on his dissertation for the entire time!

Sunday, September 13, 2009. Liam goes to school! Liam started school this past week. We started out with a little blessing on Monday night for part of FHE. That was good and Liam was cute. Tues morning it was pouring rain and a bit chilly so dressed him warm and sent him off. I was a wreck but Liam was brave. He sure is cute and he is so grown up. Now that Liam and Michael are at school all day, Sean, Adam and I hang out together. At times I wonder where my Liam is but this is a good thing. Since Michael...
