Our Orchards and Apples. The Cyder Making Process. Cyder orchards and apple varieties at Checkley Brook. We have two orchards at Checkley Brook. The larger one is just over two acres. It was originally planted by Pat Lee and John Worle. It contains mostly Dabinett. Trees Our main blend is made from these two apple varieties with other varieties added for acidity. The smaller orchard is only a third of an acre. It is a section of a once larger field. Here we have Broxwood Foxwhelp. Styre, Ellis Bitter.
