Bier Goddess Adventures: Back to Buffalo: Feb 2008
http://biergoddess.blogspot.com/2008/03/back-to-buffalo-feb-2008.html
Sunday, March 16, 2008. Back to Buffalo: Feb 2008. After dinner we all headed back to the hotel for a night cap. Bier Guide and Andrew just made it to the store before closing to pick up a growler of Southern Tier Imperial Choclate Stout. This is what Bier Guide had to say about it: "Smooth, velvety and super chocolatey. It was rich but so easy to drink for an imperial.". Andrew, Isako, me and Bier Guide in front of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery (http:/ www.albrightknox.org/geninfo.html). After a quiet mo...

Bier Goddess Adventures: May 2007
http://biergoddess.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 27, 2007. Sean M in San Antonio Texas. Remember Alamo Golden Ale. 53% alcohol, brewed in Texas. First impression is a little fizzy, eg too much carbonation. Taste is initially sweet, with some hops taste, but not overwhelming. Almost like a pale ale but not a lot of bitterness. Better on round #2, and I think would be better suited to food (? Greasy Tex-Mex) than drinking by itself. New Belgium's Fat Tire Amber Ale. New Belgium's Sunshine Wheat Beer. Negra Modelo Dark Ale. Light tasting for a...

Bier Goddess Adventures: Sean M in England
http://biergoddess.blogspot.com/2008/03/sean-m-in-england.html
Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Sean M in England. Some people seem to have the jobs with the best fringe benefits. Anyhow, putting my petty feelings aside, this is what he had to say about the beer experiences he had:. Been in London since Monday and this is the second bar that is all Samuel Smith. Had Steak and Kidney pie and the wheat Samuel Smith. Heated by coal fireplaces of course! Note the date of the renovations. Had the London Pride pulled here, no carbonation for the ales of course! The Grizzly Pa...

Monday, April 16, 2007. This European-style dark lager was a gift from Sho Ozawa who is the rep for Asahi for Ontario and Quebec. While most people are familiar with the very popular Super Dry, not many are familar with Asahi's darker brother. Bier Goddess Adventures: Maternity Leave
http://biergoddess.blogspot.com/2010/02/maternity-leave.html
Sunday, February 14, 2010. This is a picture of me from June 2008. Yes, it's been a while but I've been a little distracted with a side project. There is so much to write about - a trip to Japan covering Kikuchi Brewers and Popeye's Pub, 2008 and 2009 Volo Cask Days, new beer discoveries, a BierGotter's Creme Brulee Java Stout fundraiser for a local children's centre and so much more. So I promise to get back to blogging. My apologies for the extended absence. Stricture erstwhile hat this without debit o...

Bier Goddess Adventures: February 2007
http://biergoddess.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 11, 2007. After enjoying a bottle of Maudite (http:/ www.unibroue.com/english.cfm), I took a sip of Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale (http:/ www.merchantduvin.com/pages/5 breweries/samsmith nut brown ale.html). But something strange happened - the Nut Brown Ale tasted sour. I had another sip and again I got a very distinct sourness. I've had the Nut Brown Ale a few times before I had no memory of it tasting like this at all. Saturday, February 10, 2007. This worked perfectly when tested on i...
