Troy, a native New Orleanian, is a freelance journalist and fiction writer who has been published in many regional and national publications. His writings have been covered by the Times-Picayune, the Washington Post, the New York Times as well as many others. The Chef's in Exile Project is rapidly nearing several milestones towards fruition. 21 of New Orleans top Chefs have teamed up with us on this project so far. Two other huge New Orleans Chefs will be announced this week. 19 Interviews have been conducted. The 3-5 recipes from each Chef are rolling in. 3 of the narratives have been completed. Every New Orleanian has a Katrina Story. but some come with recipes. Progress Report: June 27, 2006. Several more milestones have been reached for this project:. Expect three more major Chefs to sign on before the end of the month. CIE has nearly hit its goal of 30 of the top New Orleans Chefs. We are now at 24 and feel that this number will be reached before the end of the first week in July. We fully expect to have reached a publishing agreement before August 1st. The momentum is building.
