Here is how it went. First, is the marinated topping. 1 tablespoon of capers with their liquid. One-half of a red onion (chopped). One pack (about 10-20 slices) of Genoa ham (quarter or shred the pieces). Cover the bowl and let sit overnight at room temperature, stirring it every few hours if you are around. 1 c warm water.

To this I served a salad of chopped up cocktail tomatoes and avocados, tossed it around with some baby spinach and a squeeze of lemon and some olive oil. To give it a little Mexican touch I served it with some tortillas. Look here for my other chili. I have been busy lately but I have some dishes that I will be posting in the coming days. sorry that I haven't been so good about posting lately.
