Living and Gardening in the Ozarks. Sunday, January 25, 2015. We are enjoying a lovely period of warmer weather. It got up to 50° yesterday. We decided to make a run for some odds and ends we were getting low on.(cat and dog food). I called MIL and she was raring to go! 96 years old and I wish I had her enthusiasm. We got our shopping done and ate lunch out. This is going to be about our revamped feed room. Remember when I had to do chores and could not climb up into the feed bin in the loft? I still hav...

Thursday, October 21. Tutorial: Wire-Wrapped Tree of Life Ornament. This tutorial will show you, in detail, how to create the wire-wrapped Tree of Life Ornament shown in the image above. The other tutorials I've found online have been very basic and left a lot of unanswered questions. My goal with these instructions is to be very thorough, yet easy to understand. At the end I will explain the adjustments that are necessary for a pendant instead of an ornament. A 4-inch metal ring. Start on one side of th...

Suburban Retreat: FESTIVUS (Feats of Strength)
http://suburban-retreat.blogspot.com/2012/02/festivus-feats-of-strength.html
Tuesday, February 21, 2012. FESTIVUS (Feats of Strength). Thank you friends for all the birthday wishes on my last post! I went and picked up my corner cabinet on the weekend. I sighed when I first laid eyes on it. It was big . really BIG and probably wouldn't fit in its intended place. I loved it though and couldn't leave without it. Eventually I would find a space for it. What wait FOUR MORE DAYS before I could have my cabinet in the house! I instantly thought of Festivus from an episode of Seinfeld.

The Magnolia House: Drop Cloth Curtains and Tutorial!
http://thedadecitymagnoliahouse.blogspot.com/2011/10/drop-cloth-curtains-and-tutorial.html
Vintage Furniture, Home Decor and Gifts. Monday, October 17, 2011. Drop Cloth Curtains and Tutorial! Remember these windows that were missing something? Again, I would like to stress that their is a chance that Big Lot's drop cloths have more imperfections in them than other brands. I don't know that for sure but would love to know if any of my readers have had this problem. I lined up the three panels to make sure that they were all the same length. So far not too bad. I realized that one panel on e...

Say It With Thread: Summer Subway Embroidery Pocket..
http://sayitwiththread.blogspot.com/2011/06/summer-subway-embroidery-pocket.html
Summer Subway Embroidery Pocket. It' s so easy to get hooked on the "subway art" style of creative expression. The words create the art. and also send a message to all that view it. This embroidery pattern and file. is all about summer. While it could be a wall hanging, or enclosed in a frame. I think it would make an outstanding patch pocket. This a quick and easy Patch Pocket project. but I am sure you can think of some different ideas this Summer Subway Embroidery. can be applied to. Hi Patty, thanks ...
