A Little Space in the Universe: November 2009
http://ejrogersfamily.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
A Little Space in the Universe. This is the space in which we record what seems important at the moment. It is our small attempt to connect. The Rogers Family. Thursday, November 19, 2009. Yes, we're still alive and breathing. So, we have had an exceedingly busy last several weeks causing us to fall out of the blogging stratosphere for a little while. Amelia and Dylan are trudging along. Amelia still isn't certain that she's exactly crazy about school, but her complaints are fewer, most likely becaus...

A Disclaimer and Apology. By the way, I am a happy person. I am a realist and an optimist. I like to pretend that I'm wise and experienced, but half the time, I'm faking it to avoid looking stupid. So there you have it. My back story. Labels: the beginning of Jaynes banter. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The lot of us. Something...

A Little Space in the Universe. This is the space in which we record what seems important at the moment. It is our small attempt to connect. The Rogers Family. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. It's a small world or I feel old. I meant to post this earlier, but must have been distracted by other things. That rarely happens, by the way. OK That often happens. For the record, she also had her camera. I made sure to teach my students to be responsible. I'm sure their preparedness was a direct result of my in...

A Little Space in the Universe. This is the space in which we record what seems important at the moment. It is our small attempt to connect. The Rogers Family. Thursday, September 17, 2009. The little dude is three. Technically, it is still the month of September, the month of Dylan's birth, and while his birthday was the 7th, I'm not totally a month behind.just nearly that. Dylan's third birthday happened to fall on Labor Day this year, which made it so all of us were home and able to celebrate with him.

A Little Space in the Universe. This is the space in which we record what seems important at the moment. It is our small attempt to connect. The Rogers Family. Saturday, August 29, 2009. The last bit o' summer. I've been lax on my blog entries, and since I cannot seem to omit anything, you're getting a full disclosure of what occupied much of our time the last half of the summer. The kids took advantage of the bathrobes. There was definitely some reconnecting. And some sore back muscles. I know many have...

Wheat Loves Me Not: Wheat-Free Cranberry Breakfast Cake
http://wheatlovesmenot.blogspot.com/2012/12/wheat-free-cranberry-breakfast-cake.html
Wheat Loves Me Not. Saturday, December 8, 2012. Wheat-Free Cranberry Breakfast Cake. Fortunately I have found that a lot of quick breads can still be made using my wheat recipes by simply substituting my wheat-free flour mix for the wheat flour. Occasionally I will add an extra egg and a tad bit more baking powder to the recipe to help it hold together. The bread still manages to turn out more crumbly than normal, but that is something I can live with! Note that this recipe is wheat-free NOT gluten-free).

Wheat Loves Me Not: Wheat-Free Yeast Bread
http://wheatlovesmenot.blogspot.com/2012/11/wheat-free-yeast-bread.html
Wheat Loves Me Not. Friday, November 16, 2012. I stumbled across this recipe on the Glutenfree.com forum. Tried for years to find a descent yeast bread recipe that didn’t have wheat in it. I tried this recipe like I have tried others – with little hope for a successful outcome. And since I use my own wheat-free flour blend I never know if it will work in a gluten-free recipe. To my surprise, it worked! They rose a little and tasted amazing. Http:/ forums.glutenfree.com/topic4073.html. Here it is…. Almost...

Wheat Loves Me Not
http://wheatlovesmenot.blogspot.com/2012/11/wheat-free.html
Wheat Loves Me Not. Saturday, November 3, 2012. Wheat-free. one step at a time. I love to bake. The problem is that I have learned that my body does not process wheat very well. In fact, my bowels and my digestive tract seem to only function properly when I cut wheat completely out of my diet. Before that, I had a lot of pain and discomfort and all of that other good (bad) stuff around my midsection, not to mention the dry patchy rashes I also got on my skin – mostly my upper arms. And some things just a...
