our Winter Shelf | Inspiration for Change
https://chellesblog.wordpress.com/2010/06/09/our-winter-shelf
June 9, 2010. Posted by Michelle under D's latest adventure. We are on the ball this season…. it took me a month into Autumn to get the Autumn shelf up, but i’m only eight days late this season. Actually, thinking about our citrus trees, me showing the kids how to choose a nice ripe mandarin and to pick their own might not have been a great idea- they seem to like them, and three mandarins each in the space of an hour is not so great later on. some homeschool days | Inspiration for Change
https://chellesblog.wordpress.com/2010/05/11/some-homeschool-days
May 11, 2010. Posted by Michelle under D's latest adventure. The homeschool group went to the local museum the other day, and although i knew Jordy would enjoy it i was worried about calling it a ‘museum’ because he has been to some pretty amazing museums (Darwin, Brisbane, Adelaide and a heap of other great centres in Alice Springs etc) and our little museum does not have any dinosaurs! So i was worried about him getting a little too excited about it. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

puppet show | Inspiration for Change
https://chellesblog.wordpress.com/2010/06/05/puppet-show
June 5, 2010. Posted by Michelle under D's latest adventure. The boys presented a puppet show yesterday…. i am not actually sure what the storyline was- but there was lots of animal noises and hugs. And yes, they are both naked. It is freezing cold and i think i was still wearing my flannie jammies at that point but the kids had both stripped off and were refusing all offers of clothing. Our Story of Australia: Day 207- Adelaide
http://storyofaustralia.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-207-adelaide.html
Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Picked the truck up. Fixed, apparently? Mum and Dad bought a new caravan? So we called past to have a look. Noice! Kitchen a bit small for me but then i make a mess when i cook so. Then time to pack my bag for tomorrow's flight and Tim got things somewhat tidied up to travel. Still raining, raining so not much else to do. Hired a buggy to ride around on for an hour. Wind Chill Factor -5'C! But Jordy thought it was fun so probably worth it. Happy Birthday Ray and Al! December ...

Saturday, September 5, 2009. Day 190- Alice Springs to Glen Helen Gorge (West McDonald Ranges). It may have been easier to leave the van behind and do the West McDonalds in a day trip but with the kids it would have been a BIG late day so we decided to camp at Glen Helen anyway and then head back through town on our way south. The kids threw rocks into the water. Darcy tried running in for a swim but I managed to catch him. Nice atmosphere. The back of the resort looks over the massive sheer wall of ...

Saturday, September 12, 2009. Day 197- Lake Hart to Port Germein. Oh, we called into the tourist information centre and they had a ten pin bowling alley in there. My god! Did Jordy put up a fight. The bowling alley is just like the game on Lala's phone and he wanted in there for a game and was not taking no for an answer. Have to plan a day bowling when we get back to Port! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A journey of discovery and adventure: starring Jordan, 9yrs, and Darcy, 7yrs. September 13 - Sep...

Our Story of Australia: Day 204- Adelaide
http://storyofaustralia.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-204-adelaide.html
Saturday, September 19, 2009. The city was really nice. Had a nice feel to it. Not country-town like Darwin by any means but not as crazy bleugh city-fied as Sydney. Went for a wander through the mall area and then headed for the food court! The museum was quite good and we spent a few hours wandering around there. Had a great display of animals from around the world that was surprisingly interesting! From there we had another bit of a wander through the shops. So it sounds rather boring but it was actua...
Our Story of Australia: Day 203- Victor Harbor to Adelaide
http://storyofaustralia.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-203-victor-harbor-to-adelaide.html
Thursday, September 17, 2009. Day 203- Victor Harbor to Adelaide. A bit sunnier this morning so we had an easy packup with no rain. We were not in a rush this morning cos we only had about 80km to travel so we had a few stops planned on the way to check out more of the Fleurieu Coast. First stop though was back to Basham Beach to see the whales again. Darcy was asleep last time so we made sure he stayed awake to see them this morning. Jordy was more interested in picking the flowers. Much cursing and hea...

http://storyofaustralia.blogspot.com/2009/09/day-201-victor-harbor.html
Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Day 201- Victor Harbor. Cold and blustery rainy day today. Rugged up in some warm clothes and headed off into town. First stop to buy more cold and flu medicine! Then we had lunch at a cafe in town. Had a quick look through the Whale Centre where the kids had a ball in the "bone house" and doing some fishy jigsaw puzzles and looking at sea creatures through the microscope. Then it was time to go see the penguins. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Nardia, probably best if you don’t read this entry! Almost all packed up. After four months in one spot we are all spread out and in a mess! Had a bit of a thank you - farewell - birthday dinner for Tim on Saturday night, which was a lovely gesture of the boss. We tried long-neck turtle! A bit…. Hhmmm… chewy! So we figured it was cool enough for a fire! Bloody crazy. Anyway, Zac got some dried pandanas seeds that make great heat-beads and also add a nice smoked flavour....

The Chronicles of Nannia. Views on life from the trenches. The Fading of Innocence. September 12, 2008 in Uncategorized. I can’t begin to put into words how it feels to see a child you care for have their last few pieces of innocence ripped from them before your eyes. It has got to be one of the most heart-wrenching moments I will ever experience, and it’s not one that I would like to have again any time soon. Earning “Nanny Stripes”. Sunday, January 06, 2008. Bird Care Guide - Keeping Your Birds Safe In the House. Bird Care Guide - Keeping Your Birds Safe In the House. Pet birds are easily affected by unwholesome smells, similar to wild birds. Common household appliances and items such as Teflon pans, aerosol sprays and even innocuous furniture polish can be fatal for birds. One of the best practices when dealing with substances that may give off pungent odors is to use it in airy areas far away from your birds. During festive season...
