Sunday, September 27, 2009. Ever see those old ads from the 1920s. Where some housewife whiles away her life doing menial tasks, with an apron on her hips and a smile on her face? That's exactly what I thought of when I saw this iron in the backroom of the tailor shop across from my grandmother's house. 21st century living, eh? Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Have you been with pig recently? I kid you not, that was a question on the entry form to get past Chinese customs.]. Photo of the Day. Know, I've actu...

The China Bubble: Rub Down
http://ednainchina.blogspot.com/2010/03/rub-down.html
Sunday, March 28, 2010. A massage parlor somewhere; they're so common in China that I don't even know in which city it was that I took this. If ever there was a good impulse buy, this is it. They're not always the cleanest establishments, but the service is fabulous; even at 20 RMB ( $3) an hour you get some quality foot-rubs, often with a bit of head and shoulder massaging thrown in too. Actually, even writing about it makes my shoulders ache for one.only 11 more weeks til I go back! Photo of the Day.

Saturday, February 28, 2009. Photo of the Day: At Ease. My first time in Beijing! These guys passed by while we were on the way into the Forbidden City. May in China is already pretty warm, so I imagine they were roasting in those uniforms. They seemed at ease enough, though who knows with those looks of determination. Today's picture was actually picked by my good friend Leanna, who I met in Dalian and came with me on this trip. All she had to say on this was, "They're really skinny.". Photo of the Day.
