I tend to think that your subconscious allows you to see color with out being affected by its emotional quality, and that your conscious mind knows the why and where with what you are trying to achieve. For example, if I am trying to imply emotion in a painting what avenue do I take to accomplish that task? Do I allow my conscious mind to paint, or do I inadvertently do what my subconscious mind has already done?
