April 20, 2015. Yesterday was a full day. We packed up our lunch salads mid-morning and headed to the Flea Market. It’s a big deal around here. We walked a lot and saw all sorts of interesting things. Mom got in a LOT of walking. She felt pretty good most of the day. Isn’t Mom cute in her new sun dress? We are referring to her ginormous arm as the “Elephant Trunk.” We are working on getting the last of the accumulated fluid off of her. You should see her skinny legs! On to making the Alfredo Sauce:.

A Victory To End A Rough Day. April 21, 2015. Mom struggled through her treatments and her heart was very heavy all day. We were on our way home for the evening when we noticed that the swelling in her left arm had significantly gone down! She has a little bit of swelling left but this is a BIG improvement – a victory to celebrate for sure and a good way to end the day. An Afternoon At The Farm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Getting Stronger Every Day. April 28, 2015. The last week has been a whirlwind of activity. Mom had a full week of treatments while the rest of us were busy learning about nutrition, herbs and supplements. May 1, 2015. May 1, 2015. We are thrilled to tell you that Moms first IPT (chemotherapy treatment) went very well! After the treatment she really enjoyed eating fresh pineapple and some graham crackers that Dad had made. She was tired, as we expected her to be, but she didn’t have any other side effects during or following the treatment. Even into today she continues to feel “Very Good” – in her own words! We are thrilled about this! She is beautiful even with her ice helmet, ice mitts and ice booties!

An Afternoon At The Farm. April 20, 2015. Mom felt so good after walking a lot yesterday that we decided to find something to do that would get her some more good exercise. We decided to visit Schnepf Farms. 8211; Arizona’s largest organic peach farm. They also have a Pick-Your-Own organic vegetable garden. What a difference a Shoe Makes. If I am going to walk a half Marathon in October, I decided I need to get a good pair of shoes. I went to this great place called Fleet Feet. They measured my feet standing and sitting. They looked at the bottom of my shoes and watched me walk in several pairs. The only thing I can say is WOW!
